Location and view were amazing..friendly staff
Room 412 was way too hot. It's obviously a problem as there was a fan in the room. Room and bed were small. Didn't get a wink of sleep. Shame as everything'everything else is great
Close to the haven and Beach.
Was a bit difficult to find off the A20 We drove around for at least half an hour before asking. All signs point to Hotels and B& B but Hotel are not specified. Although, I would be able to find my way back there now!
The position of the hotel overlooking the harbour to watch the ship movements. The parking was easy to access and very near! Excellent breakfast and dinner!
the food was good but cold.
Liked the location and being able to relax in the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and lovely service.
Overlooking the back of hotel not seafront. Bed was a bit small. Have found with all these deals we only get second rate room.
Almost everything was fine, very convenient, easy to find, friendly and good value, with free parking and WiFi. The only problem was the shower!
The shower was not exactly fast and furious but you can't have everything!
They have a lift. Great views from the balcony of white cliffs and Dover Castle. TV was close enough to comfortably watch from bed.
Advertising banner across half of my balcony.
Staff unsympathetic to needs.
Sensational views, both sunset & sunrise along with the white cliffs of Dover
Internet was a bit slow
Location for access to ferry port. This hotel is a 'gem' of a find. Clean, comfortable, large room with friendly staff. Food in adjoining cafe was good value for money. Plus free car parking.
Nothing we didn't like - some noise from rowdy locals outside of the hotel
Great location on sea front only minutes from the ferry terminal.Good restaurant.Free parking.
So close to the water. Our room had a balcony where we could sit outside.
Room was hot and has a real problem with sloping floors. Fire alarm went off at 3am, no one knew what to do. No checking on people etc. lucky for us and them it was a false alarm.
Right on the beach, this older hotel has its quirks (sloping floors, tiny lift etc as others have noted) but the staff are excellent being attentive to your every need and at the rate we got it (half the book rate) excellent value for money. There was a great spread for breakfast and again the staff very pleasant and attentive.
Would have stayed longer if they could have held the rate.
Location Late food at the bar Free parking Sea view
Very noisy fan in the bathroom. Poor Wi-Fi reception in the room.
Comfortable room overlooking harbour. Location. Bar and restaurant.
The location and parking - the staff were pleasent and quick with serving food and drinks We would stay again but only if a bigger room was avilable - despite all the "dislikes" it was a 100% better hotel than the Hilton hotel at Brighton (reviewed earlier this year) and 1/2 the cost !
Room in the attic- small room and hot. Toilet flushing issues - shower could do with a rethink -low pressure - window would not stay open or close properly
easy to find and close to ferry
Room with sea view very small and very warm no air con only a small fan.Tiny lift to all floors. Restaurant and all other services far too expensive, not worth staying to eat.Go into town.
bed uncomfortable no air con
Not very much after other Best Western Hotels stayed at
Very poor service and the room was uncomfortable to sleep in regarding noise etc.
Great location, lovely comfy bed, great food
A few staff playing around in the dining area when they should have been working. Seemed to be overstaffed at times
The location was very good, and the restaurant was excellent in the evening. The style of the hotel foyer and bar was attractive, and we enjoyed the ambience down there.
Our room on the fourth floor was terrible, very small and uncomfortable, with no view and no wifi. the breakfasts were ordinary, to the extent that we abandoned breakfast the second day in favour of Macdonalds
Spa !? Hardly just a sauna
The view was lovely and the décor was very good. Most of the staff were very helpful.
The room was very hot and made it impossible to get a good nights sleep. A fan was provided but really did not help a great deal. We were very relieved when morning came and we could leave our room.
Stayed two nights the best thing was the view. Air con cheap stand up fan on room charged 188£. For two nights breakfast extra. Room tiny attic dirty windows very thin towels. Would give it 2 stars at the most. Staff too busy to give any help. Not recommended.
