location, dining options - a la carte, set menu and bar meals
Comfort of bed, low water pressure in the shower
Nice location and they don't fail to charge extra for the sea view room. Free car park but you need to run a while to it. Except for that a regular middle class hotel.
The hotel was closed for a long time and now carries "Plus" in the name. Means to be a better BW but it is not. It is the same old hotel and everything looks dated. Very slow Wi-Fi you can hardly use.
Staff very welcoming and helpful. breakfast
wifi was not working some time in far bedroom.
Kept up all night, requested a quiet room was put above the noisy reception, with a noisy generator near room, and was woken up early morning by deliveries right below our window, and the bathroom smelt very dirty and was not clean and the floor boards were creaking all night as staff and guests walking past our room
Lucy on Reception was lovely we had room with a sea view, The Lobby was beautiful and great breakfast but that's where It ends.
Thank god for the sea view as the room was so small and cramped and needed some well earned TLC. The bathroom was dreadful had one of those anywhere you like toilets and made a awful sound even when water running In sink, shower needed big upgrading.
Seafront location, room with good sea view, plentiful buffet breakfast taken in restaurant overlooking the harbour. Comfy bed.
Room very small and the noise from creaking floorboards above us kept us awake most of the night! Also, wifi only works with one appliance so once my husband had accessed it on his phone, I was unable to use my laptop! Bathroom not as clean as it could have been.
Location - sea view rooms are particularly good.
very good hot water very clean very nice
Staff - easy check in - comfortable room. location.
bar prices -
location, friendliness of staff
drafty windows, low water pressure in bathroom
Staff and bed was confotable
The noise of the heating and lift all night long. Plus TV didnt work when we arrived but they fixed that.
Friendly helpful staff. Tasty breakfast . Lovely building.
Noisy neighbours followed by very noisy plumbing in room 400 kept me awake for over 3 hours . Needs more sound proofing and pluming sorting . Plumbing in our room 402 was fine .
Staff were very friendly and professional. We ate every evening in the hotel and the quality of the food and service was first class and the price very reasonable.
Not applicable as I was 100% satisfied
The bed was comfortable with high quality linen and a mattress topper. We were upgraded to a sea view which we appreciated and dinner was excellent. Every was perfect
Shower too small and water coming out of the Handel and no hair shampoo
We enjoyed the gym
Toilet under the rim in room was filthy black I suggest cleaners have a good scrub if bleach underneath
Location, friendly & welcoming staff, good food and the views.
No negative comments.
The location was just perfect for everything and everyone in our group. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous. Rooms are a good size.
The staff could improve somewhat, although very pleasant, service was lacking - my nan and grandad waited over an hour to be served their cream tea! The lobby was impressive but then we were let down by the rooms as they were dated, floors are uneven - generally need some modernization. Our shower was okay but others were saying it's like being dribbled on, so a bit hit and miss really.
The room was spacious with a lovely view. Breakfast was wide and varied but... Overall, I would stay here again
Breakfast was not topped up and I did not get the full choice as I had breakfast late. Also, the staff in the breakfast room seemed more interested in chatting and looking out of the windows.
Good location, prefer this over the premier inn, nice rooms, staff are nice if not well trained!
Restaurant service staff very poorly trained, no idea how to serve food and no appreciation of the service, our food was dreadful, we sent untouched food back and the service staff did not ask us why!, the wines in the bar are shockingly bad...yuk!
A very welcoming place with nice staff. We only stayed for one night but it was nice a pleasant stay. A little small and slanted but it was warm an clean.
The location was great
One of the worst hotel beds I've slept on (tried to sleep on). Also, rooms not insulated so could easily hear noise from the hotel and other rooms late at night and early morning.
Rooms, Staff, Restaurant
Room was too warm.
