This stay was amazing. The hotel/pub is lovely, working well with modern facilities in the very old building. The staff were super attentive and helpful. The food I could write a whole page on, it was amazing. The prices are brilliant and the portions are huge. The locals in the pub were friendly and not resentful of visitors at all.

A Grade-2 Listed 14th century coaching inn, the Guildhall Tavern is 3 minutes’ walk from Denbigh Castle and town centre. Some of its luxurious rooms have period features and free Wi-Fi. Rooms at the Guildhall Tavern Hotel all have large beds and LCD TVs. Many have period features such as leaded windows and beamed ceilings. Some feature and luxurious bathrooms. Mytton-King Room External Bathroom is the king room with the external bathroom. This room is located across the landing. It has key access and is not shared. The restaurant and bar feature local produce and fine ales. The restaurant serves Welsh and international dishes and both feature log fires, oak panelling and original beams. Guildhall Tavern offers leisure and business guests the perfect place to stay in Denbigh. Our central location means easy access to the Clwydian Range, the North Wales coast and Snowdonia National Park which is just a 30 minute drive from here. The A55 expressway is just a 6 mile drive. We provide guests with free Wi-Fi, the option of a fabulous Welsh breakfast and comfy rooms which you will look forward to returning to after a busy day. All our guest bedrooms are all as unique as the building itself, with period features and quirky feel. All of our bedrooms feature comfy beds, high quality linen and everything you would expect of a modern 'hotel' in olde worlde surroundings. The Inn is steeped in history, and is traditionally believed to have been the headquarters of the Parliamentary Generals Mytton & Myddleton during the siege of Denbigh Castle during the civil War in 1646.
Guildhall Tavern is tucked away in the centre of Denbigh, just a short stroll from some lovely independent shops and cafe's. There is also several pubs and restaurants within walking distance too. Denbigh Castle and the town walls are just 5 minutes walk away. The key to the walls can be obtained by guests from the library. Denbigh is also a perfect central base for exploring the whole of North Wales and all the fabulous things to see and do.
