We especially liked the bath in our room. Nice view out of the big windows and as close as you can get to leeds nightlife
all was fantastic definately a luxury stay x
Staff, location and room size Nd lighting
Hearing every sound in next room and corridor- very noisy!
Loved the location of this Hotel. Really pleasant staff happy to help. Lovely room with a great mini bar!
I thought my room was really nice but small details let it down for the price. The scruff marks on furniture, walls and doors. The actual bed has a huge dent in it. For the price I expected it to be a lot tidier.
Central location, comfortable and very pleasant
menu options after restaurant closure disappointing.
Lovely comfortable bed.
Loved the fact that the room wasn't over warm and also liked all the thoughtful touches especially ironing board, hairdryer, flannel, toiletries.
Bed was a bit hard but better that way than too soft! Complimentary bottle of still mineral water would have been nice.
Ambience of the room Wine in the room Breakfast Comfort of the bed Car park discount with Q Park
Shower was defective, could not adjust temperature, either scalding or cold! Toilet flush faulty Room cleanliness - attention to detail. Bathroom looked tired?
-location -staff -high pressure bath/shower and very hot water.
-Paying for parking -overpriced room rates
Helpfulness of all staff
Beer glass sizes. Must be the only hotel chain in the UK that doesn't give a pint of beer but charges you for one.
Friendly staff. Good location.
Bar area too small. Not particularly good value for money. We had requested an early check in and this wasn't available on arrival.
We loved the location. The decor of the hotel and furnishings were beautiful, staff at breakfast were very polite and helpful. The lady who checked us out was more than helpful and extremely pleasant. The breakfast although expensive if you were to buy (£15.99 I believe) it was lovely and great quality food.
We didn't like how money orientated the hotel was. In the rooms everything has a price on it, even down to the bottles of water on the bedside tables which we believe are strategically placed there so guests think they are free. Which they aren't. We have no problem paying for extras but it seems it's pushed in your face. Normally we would have bought from the mini bar but due to feeling this way, out of principle we never. Also we felt the hotel was beautiful but facility wise it doesn't really offer much more than another hotel, apart from luxury furnishings. We naively expected maybe a few extras like a jacuzzi bath? Also the room we stayed in was so noisey outside on a night. Yes I know it's a city... but the noise kept me up until 3:30am, police cars with sirens wizzing about, drunken idiots shouting and screaming until early hours. At one point I got up and had a bath at 3am because the noise was so loud.
The hotel is conveniently situated just beyond the Trinity Shopping Centre and a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. It is in the slightly seedier part of Leeds City Centre and got quite noisy with police cars etc. around midnight but that is a problem of City Centre Hotels and at least it is close to the Station, shops and restaurants
It is on a one way system where it is hard to park and drop-off your bags, with no on-site parking, and no assistance from a porter to help with the bags. There are plenty of car parks nearby. There is no gym but you can use a local gym Towels were a bit threadbare
Freshly cooked breakfast Free cocktail if booking breakfast in advance Excellent location
Decor in public areas very dark
Bed was comfortable and room decor was nice. It's also a good location, close to train station (3-5 min walk) and close to town center and shops (3-5 min walk).
First room they put me in was quite small, a bit worn and smelled of smoke. Second room was better although tv was positioned on side wall so difficult to see from one side of the bed.
Friendly Cosy Good quality Bed linen
In room 412 you can not see the Tv from the bed
The lovely room size and the friendly staff. Really nice cooked breakfast. We had lots of Christmas shopping our train wasn't leaving until 6 pm the staff kept our bags until then.
Nice room, great location and lovely staff.
Nothing to not like.
The superior room was spacious and comfortable as was the bathroom.
We had twin beds in a superior room but I started to get back ache during the night. I think the mattress was sagging a little in the middle & needed renewing. The double glazing was not very thick & did not keep out the street noise. The lighting was dim everywhere in the hotel including the room.
I love the Mal and would be keen to stay every time I am in Leeds which is once a fortnight get onto the Oracle/CWT
The price other hotel with breakfast are Radison Blu £90 and Marriott £105 the mal was £189
Book in .com said check in was at 2 pm it wasnt lt was 3 pm so be aware
Good quality bedrooms and bathrooms Helpful staff
Restaurant was cold - resolved when asked Disapointed hotel did not have gym facilities on site Street noise if you have a front bedroom.
Checked in with ease the 2 people on the desk were great....really cheerful and welcoming. Few drinks in the bar before going out. Breakfast was great good selection and again cheerful happy staff. Our room was deluxe river view and well worth the little bit extra
bit dated bar dear why no pints
