Step out from the door and be strolling through the lovely Torre Abbey Gardens within a minute, and on to the English Riviera Sea front within another five minutes, all of which are a very easy LEVEL walk. Our lovely, tranquil home is in the perfect location whether on holiday or for business travel. Sit on the terrace, relax, and enjoy the afternoon sun with a drink, while watching the world go by or maybe even a cricket match. Adults Only offers bed and breakfast in Torquay, just 10 minutes’ walk from Torquay Train Station and 6 minutes from the Riviera International Conference Centre. Overlooking a park, its well-appointed en suite rooms are complemented by free on-site parking. We are also LGBT friendly. The Riviera has something to satisfy everyone’s desires from the cultural aspect at the Princess theatre to beautiful local walks or rides along the coast. We are also within a 5-minute drive of many of Torquay’s restaurants, such as The Elephant and No 7 Fish Bistro on the harbourside. It’s an 18-minute walk from the Princess Theatre, and Torquay Golf Club is around 10 minutes’ drive. Our location is ideal for patients undergoing treatment or visitors to Torbay Hospital which is only a five min drive away. The hosts, Sharon and Mark will do their best to accommodate everything you may require in as homely a manner as possible.

We love living in beautiful Torquay in Devon. There are a multitude of new places to explore or new walks to discover all within easy walking distance as well. Leave your car parked and walk or use busses etc for your stay. You can never be bored as there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Melba House is in a lovely old part of Torquay, and an easy, 5 minute level walk from the historic Torre Abbey and the Riviera International Centre. The seafront and harbour are an 8 min walk away. Most importantly we are situated where only a level walk is required to access the sea front and restaurants etc as Torquay can be very hilly. We overlook a recreational ground where one can watch the cricket from our sunny terrace. Also ideally located for patients undergoing treatment or visitors attending Torbay Hospital which is a 5 min drive away.
