Very easy location, near Eurostar, underground, buses...Very kind staff. Very calm place : a pretty square. Good English breakfast. I was in a room with no window, but one in the bathroom. Next to the breakfast room, a very narrow bed (I am rather...large, is it the right word in English ?), no side lamp, very old tv with only 1 very stupid channel (I wanted to see the news), and very noisy (neighbours, water in the pipes, early business for breakfast, etc) . Carpets worn out ...

I liked the location, close to Kings cross and the 24 hour front desk staff My room's floor was dirty, it smelled and had a shower & sink, but no toilet. I had to go a floor up to find a toilet. I went to have breakfast and there were no spare seats and people waiting, so I missed out on breakfast.

Very good service, open 24/24h Luggage storage is free Good location, 5min walk from St Pancras station Clean, simple room, very comfortable bed Lots of stairs, and narrow staircases, may be difficult to manage with heavy or big suitcases... We did manage, though.

I have stayed here several times. The rooms are basic but clean, the beds are really comfortable and the buffet breakfast is tasty consisting of full English buffet, cereals and fruit juice and more than adequate as long as you get up early enough and not leave it until the last minute. The location is excellent, just across the road from Kings Cross and St Pancras International Stations.

I found staff to be friendly. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. Some people have been complaining about the standard of this Hotel. Perhaps it's about expectations, but if you book into a Hotel at this price in London you can't expect a 5 star service. I found it totally adequate for my needs, which was somewhere to get my head down for a night. I didn't get up for breakfast so can't comment on that.

Very clean and close to underground station. The room was small, but exactly what I expected in this type of hotel in London. The front desk was manned at all times so was very secure. We had a great time in London.

I wanted to stay 1 night only in a central place next to the St Pancras station with a resonable price. The hotel was O.K. for this in a very calm square. Many steps without a lift. You can open the window in the room just a litle.

Location, standard food, clean bedding We were very much disappointed by the Hotel Montana especially after staying in Howard Winchester (which we liked )just next door to this one. The room was very small for two persons (Twin room). The bad placed too close by the window is not suitable for two seniors. The floor is dangerously slippery on the way to a lavatory cause one must go through the wet floor of the bathroom to get there. And glass doors both in the lavatory and bathroom! Strange innovation. During breakfast we had to wait for clean knives, forks, plates. We booked the room in advance and mentioned our age but found the room on the 4th floor without an elevator.

The location is the main advantage of this hotel. It is situated 2 minutes walk from the King's Cross Underground Station, from where you can reach all important places in London. The room was small but I did not expect nothing better for that price (25 pounds for a double room per night). The bed was comfortable, there was a small tea/coffee set in the room. Although the toilette was in the corridor it was not a problem at all. There was a tv in our room - old, with only two functioning buttons but anyway it was working. The breakfast was monotonous but all in all ok. The staff in the kitchen was too noisy and some of the ladies were not polite and could not speak English at all. Some people had to wait for a free table to eat their breakefast.

The location was perfect for my needs (2 min walk from King's Cross Station.) The room was very clean and there was a good supply of big towels and bars of soap. An odd configuration (reaching the toilet by walking through the shower) but fine for my needs. Five floors up, it had the added bonus of being surprising quiet and boasting a lovely tree- filled view over the square. (Anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs should request a room on a lower floor.) The staff were friendly and the price made it very good value despite the lack of an edible breakfast. The breakfast was ver poor. Cold sausages, bacon, beans, tomatoes, eggs - I don't believe the bain-marie had been turned on as everything in it was stone cold. The coffee was all that was worth having. I'd suggest the hotel reconsider offering a faux fry-up if they can't do a better job than that, and instead put out fruit, yoghurt, Danish pastries, and perhaps cheese and cold meats. The shower did run hot, but only after a long time so the choice was cold shower or appalling waste of water.

The breakfast was a surprise -- hot food and plenty of it! We'd expected a roll and coffee but got eggs, bacon, sausages plus cereals and juices. And coffee, of course. The room is bare bones. No table, just a small counter. No chairs. A little bleach could do wonders for the the black mold in the corner of the shower. For us it worked out since we wanted to see lots of London and this room did not tempt us to linger. And close to Kings Cross which we needed for train connections. If you want that, this is the place for you.

Hotel staff were cooperative and friendly. Shared bathrooms were clean. The hotel has just the basic things, rooms are small, not that comfortable, but clean. It was ok for a short stay, but surely won't come back again.

“The staff at Crestfield were absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was small as are all London hotels that are affordable, but I didn't mind it at all. The best part of staying at the Crestfield Hotel is the location. It is a block away from the King's Cross tube stop, which is in the heart of the city. Also, the Pancras International train station is there as well, making easy to grab a train to France/Belgium and the rest of Europe. Can't beat it!” Tony, Studio City |
