The location of the hotel directly on Leicester Square is fantastic. We booked a standard room, which was compact but had all we needed. However, we did expect a bit of a view from our room and not just to look directly on a brick wall less than 5 metres away from our window!

location is fantastic having booked a deluxe king suite I found the toilet suite very small, usually I stay at the Hilton but left booking too late this time. I found multiple charges on my bill from the mini bar, the cause being explained as your electronic billing in the fridge itself. I'm sorry 5 star means I shouldn't have this type of problem. having been told I would have 2 free movies,a free drink at the bar and free internet I found charges on my bill for all these items again requiring a supervisor to correct. These problems although small show signs of inefficiency, again not what I would expect from a 5 star. Sorry, Hilton for me the next time but if you do stay check that bill carefully.

Excellent location (a stone’s throw from theatres and Trafalgar Square, short walks to Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace and Westminster) and first class service from all members of staff. Particular thanks to Monica for her friendly welcome even though I was early, and for going the extra mile to find me a room with a view, even giving me an upgrade. Thanks also to Kieran the doorman for our numerous chats on subjects as diverse as Arsenal, Australia and Admiral Nelson. It was evident that guests come first in the Hampshire. The only negative aspect was the constant humming of a generator or air conditioning unit, which appeared to be behind one wall in my room, 401. It was rather like having a lorry with its engine permanently running in one’s room. Fortunately I had earplugs, but they do make it difficult to sleep. Strangely, the anticipated noise from the ongoing works in Leicester Square was minimal.

Location. Hugely expensive especially given all the construction surrounding the hotel. Room faced construction site. Workers began at 9:00am which was rather annoying especially given the price of room. No hair dryer in room! This is an old-world hotel, very nice staff and great location.

Only the location although everything around was in reconstruction. It was an experience to not repeat!!! The staff was not good, the room was very very small, with a 1,40 m bed for two people!!! The bathroom was also very small (impossible to be two people at the same time). The bathroom had only a few things (no soap, shampoo or tooth brush). When we ask for a taxi they sent us to the street to catch one!!! The breakfast buffet was vey poor, with bad quality.Everything was inadmissible for a 5 stars hotel!!!!

In the heart of the West End, (Leicester Sq.) and out front, across the lane, the legitimate London Theater discount ticket outlet. Easy Tube/bus access. Lots of restaurants and shopping a short walk away. Perfect!!!

Very accomodating staff. Lovely room and bathroom although compact was tasteful. Lovely breakfast and afternoon tea. Our room/suite(top floor) had a connecting door to the room next door. It looks to be just 2 locked doors seperating each room. We could hear the occupants as if they were in our room. It was not enjoyable.

A very good rate was offered by Booking.com and I wanted to stay near Leicester square. However the hotel really lived up to all my hopes and expectations. The breakfast was perhaps a littte expensive but since the room was such excellent value, that is a little carping on my part!

We booked and paid for our daughter to have a night up in London as a birthday present. She was quite upset when she booked in with my confirmation of the booking. I had especially gone to get a statement that morning to check it had been paid for so she didn't need to pay any- thing, but on her arrival the receptionist made her feel very awkward as she didn't have my debit card that the payment had been paid on ..Luckily I had given her a credit card because as you know 19years olds don't carry around with them 200pounds, so the receptionist proceeded to give my payment a refund then charge the credit card plus an extra 50pounds in case of breakages which was refunded the day of departure. All in all they did not receive a friendly welcome it was more like an official check point .Also they felt harassed by having to vacate the room by 11 o'clock which seemed unnecessary early.

Location and the staff were helpful There is a large style difference between the appearance of the reception and check in, to the layout of the rooms. No indication at booking at the level of noise from the Leicester square development.

Location was perfect. Room was spotless and very comfortable -especially queen bed. Staff friendly and very professional especially in restaurant. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced for London. Would definitely stay again. Only negative was location of actual room. We were in 402 at end of corridor. There appeared to be a boiler room or aircon unit next door and there was a continuous rumbling which was a little annoying.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was comfortable with nice furniture. The breakfast was very good. Although we had booked a twin bed room more than two months ahead of our stay, there were no twin bed room left on the day we came. The room was very cold and we could not manage to warm it up. Plumbing needs some fixing (for instance, the mixer tap of the washbasin only provided hot or warm water).

Staff were very helpful and friendly The standard rooms were quiet small especially the bathrooms. The King deluxe rooms were small for the price charged. The hotel advertises turn down service at night but this was not done any of the three nights which I stayed. The first room I stayed in was near the air ventilation room which banged all night long preventing me from sleeping. I was moved to a better room after I complained but I should never had been allocated that room at the price adviterised.

Staff were very friendly and most effecient. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom too small. Windows were very draughty. Mini bar very expensive - 2.30 for a coke ? Breakfast also very expensive so we ate at a cafe just around the corner . Booked a twin room , but ended up in a double as twin room was very cold due to widows not closing properly and also twin room was smoking so smelly.
