location is fantastic having booked a deluxe king suite I found the toilet suite very small, usually I stay at the Hilton but left booking too late this time. I found multiple charges on my bill from the mini bar, the cause being explained as your electronic billing in the fridge itself. I'm sorry 5 star means I shouldn't have this type of problem. having been told I would have 2 free movies,a free drink at the bar and free internet I found charges on my bill for all these items again requiring a supervisor to correct. These problems although small show signs of inefficiency, again not what I would expect from a 5 star. Sorry, Hilton for me the next time but if you do stay check that bill carefully.

Excellent location (a stone’s throw from theatres and Trafalgar Square, short walks to Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace and Westminster) and first class service from all members of staff. Particular thanks to Monica for her friendly welcome even though I was early, and for going the extra mile to find me a room with a view, even giving me an upgrade. Thanks also to Kieran the doorman for our numerous chats on subjects as diverse as Arsenal, Australia and Admiral Nelson. It was evident that guests come first in the Hampshire. The only negative aspect was the constant humming of a generator or air conditioning unit, which appeared to be behind one wall in my room, 401. It was rather like having a lorry with its engine permanently running in one’s room. Fortunately I had earplugs, but they do make it difficult to sleep. Strangely, the anticipated noise from the ongoing works in Leicester Square was minimal.

I was not impressed at all. It seems this particular hotel has taken advantage of the company logo "Radisson". In my opinion, the Holiday Inn provides better service then the Edwardian Hampshire. I was a guest at the Radisson Edwardian Hampshire in London for one week. During that time, I asked for a "wake up call" on three separate days to make sure I was ready for business meetings, and the hotel was only successful in accomplishing this small task once out of three requests. These were important wake up calls. I recommend that they at least put alarm clocks in each room if their hotel can't manage this simple task. Additionally, there is an older lady that comes to all the rooms in the afternoon to make sure that housekeeping has done their job. This lady is very unprofessional, as she makes personal phone calls on her mobile phone and talks loudly outside of the rooms. She then let's herself into the room with very little warning, and barges directly into the room uninvited. This leaves no privacy for your guests. I regret to say that the smaller chain hotels offer better and more reliable service.

I booked a standard room and got an upgrade to a suite for the same amount of money. When i requested a late check out until 2 pm the front office told me they will charge £20 for each extra hour after 12 pm.

Yes, the hotel staff were both friendly and efficient nothing was too much trouble from advise on tourist locations, arranging taxi;s, porterage at heck out was an excellent experience as we were travelling back home from the UK to Australia we had 3 large suitcases and we didn't have to loss them the porter did it all. All in all a great place to stay most things within walking distinct. Noise from corridors at interconnecting room at night.

Location, cleanliness and hotel staff are excellent. The breakfast should be better, more "rich" with a wider range of choice.

Great location with excellent staff. The rooms are small with very small windows and the style looks outdated. Although clean, you get the sense that the hotel is of lower standards in comparison to other hotels in this price range. I noticed the numbers on the buttons of the safe box completely faded out making you memorize the location of the buttons rather than the numbers themselves to open and lock your safe box.

I must admit that, if you are looking for a base so you can gain access to most of the sites by walking, this is the hotel for you. However, it may not be as luxurious as the price-tag may suggest. It was probably my fault but I assumed breakfast was included in the price. But to find out it was £46 per couple at checking out was a shock to say the least.

Location second to none- could walk to all attractions we wanted. Grand luxurious appearance befitting a building of that age. Room very comfortable. Good value for central London and a nice touch was a voucher for a free drinks in the bar each evening as it was our anniversary . There were building works outside which was a shame as Leicester squarenot looking it's best, but that is temporary and with triple glazing not a noisy problem. The only slightly unpleasant aspect inside was the over-powering air 'freshener ' which pervaded all public areas and was not to my taste at all. The music in the reception was also too loud , making communications more difficult !

Very nice staff, accomodation and localization. I do not recommend the hotel in this period because the Leicester Square is under construction and there is continuos noise during the day. I also had a very incovenient stay because the room next door was also under construction, they started working every morning at 8:00 a.m., and the noise was tremendous. I've complained but they didn't do anything. They should have at least changed my room after knowing about my unsatisfaction. The hotel is every nice but I will think twice about staying there again.

We like the location of Radisson Edwardian Hampshire (on Leicester Square) and it will be even better location when the refurbishment of Leicester Square is completed Summer 2012 ?? ! At the moment it is like walking through a building site to get to the entrance of the hotel. In our room noisy air conditioning unit even when it was switched off.

The location is excellent - very close to West End, Covent Garden and in walking distance from the main shopping streets. The noise from the current construction site in front of the hotel is horrible. Imagine coming for a leisure or romantic trip and being woken up at 7 am on Saturday! The room was quite big for London, but not very modern in its equipment (E.G. the hair dryer was a bit old- fashioned). Also, there was a strange smell on the corridor. All in all, it was not a good value for price as the hotel is pricey, I will not stay here again.
