We stayed in a lovely room with a roll top bath and beautiful furnishings. The room was super comfortable and I would certainly return in a second. The staff were very accommodating as we had dinner and breakfast there and they were happy to assist us in any way possible. I would recommend the Wheatley Arms to anyone. Excellent value for money also.
A very warm and comforting Pub with excellant standards all round Will be staying again
was onlly there one night
staff, cleanliness, quality
Unbelievably comfortable bed Friendly helpful staff Elegant but informal
Rooms are beautiful and well equipped. Beds extremely comfortable. It was quiet at night for a good sleep after a long journey . Service in dining room at dinner and breakfast was superb, as was quality of the food.
Not applicable as we liked everything
Lovely evening meal and breakfast
We booked a suit which was done to a very high standard. Bath tub in the room was a lovely touch. Complimentary breakfast and free wifif.
Everything! Lovely room, staff, food, and beer! :)
Lovely hotel, staff friendly and attentive, will be going back.
Quilt on bed too heavy, used to feather and down which is much lighter in weight.
The friendliness of the staff, nothing was too much trouble The comfort and style of the room
No complaints at all!
Friendly, efficient staff and overall welcoming ethos. Well-appointed, comfortable room and excellent breakfast menu. First class in all respects.
The staff at the hotel were great. A particular mention needs to go to Michelle who went out of her way to look after us. We enjoyed the cooked breakfasts immensely. Hot and freshly prepared. Very good value for money overall and we would definitely stay there again.
It is a while since i last stayed here and i have to say that the decor is now in serious need of a refresh. It looks very tired and shabby in places.
The room was 5 star at 3 star prices with free bath robes. All British staff who were charming, helpful, courteous and good at their job. The place had an ambiance not often seen in this country. Keep up the good work.
The fridge thermostat very loud when switching on, which it did every 20mins or so. Disturbed sleep. Don't see the need for a fridge. Cauliflower cheese was undercooked and inedible. No excuse for not being able to cook veg.
pretty much everything was fine. Breakfast delicate & tasty with good produce
coffee with breakfast was very weak .
One day one would like to get up a little later is Dec 25th. Breakfast was only served between 8&9am and the staff were ABSOLUTELY hopeless. Everything, including basic crockery and cutlery, salt, pepper, toast had to be asked for over and over.
Nice food, nice selection of local ales. Clean rooms and lovely/helpful/family friendly staff.
On the first night, a burglar/fire alarm went off in close neighbourhood. Unlucky coincidence but resulted in me needing to reach for my emergency ear plugs :( Not their fault !!
Nicely furnished, comfortable public areas. Reasonably priced bar food and a good choice of menu
bathroom very tight for space & pub quiz on Sunday evening was loud, but it did close by 10.30
The kitchen offer a fairly short menu of locally sourced food well cooked to order. Excellent breakfasts!
Very comfortable feel.
Masses of cigarette ends from the previous night at the front entrance. Radiator not working in shower room.
food - excellent menu, standard and value for money selection of beers and lagers
accommodation too high at £145 per night for this type of hotel Arrived at 5.45pm and was told couldn't eat in restaurant on first night unless took 6.30pm slot as party booking had filled places! After showing our complete dissatisfaction, was offered a place at 8.30 - 9.00pm
Loved the room, comfy bed , excellent breakfast, staff friendly and attentive.
The smell wafting up from the toilets when checking in and out of the hotel- otherwise couldn't fault anything else
Menu was fabulous and value for money. Room was beautiful with lots of lovely touches. Will definitely be back
Building and the Room was lovely. Comfortable bed and the breakfast was lovely
Specifically asked for a bottle of. I bubbly for the room as it was my wife's birthday. When checking in felt a bit uncomfortable as there was no reception area no staff you walk in the bar with 50 or so strangers lookin at you.
