Just a short walk from Athens’ attractions, the luxurious 4-star hotel Melia Athens features a rooftop restaurant with stunning views of the Acropolis.
Score from 691 reviews Very good
This 4-star hotel is a 5-minute walk from Megaro Mousikis Metro Station and 2 stops from the historic and shopping center of Athens. It offers soundproofed rooms with satellite TV.

The Polis Grand is a 5-minute walk from the Metro Station and 215 yards from the National Archaeological Museum.

Astor Hotel is in Athens’ historic triangle, only 100 yards from Syntagma Square. It features views of the Acropolis from its rooftop restaurant and many of its rooms.
Score from 1233 reviews Good
Breakfast rush. I do prefer smaller places.
Old & small rooms
proximity to metro stations
2 star rooms despite 4 start lobby
Great location for easy metro service for port. Only stayed 10 hours. Offer limited breakfast from 4am for early departures.
Not the best location for restaurants and its menu did not appeal to us.
Everything was perfect
the hotel is good / value for money
Beautiful lobby, excellent food (and not expensive too) at the Brassiere Café, fantastic view of the restaurant at the top. Excellent localization at Panestemiou Avenue, near two Metro stations and you can go walking to Syntagma Square. It is also in the hop-on hop-off Red Bus route (inexpensive way of moving around for two consecutive days)
WiFi is not free, and is rather expensive.
Location, breakfast, staff
Room was not renovated it looked very old and used. Scratched furniture and doors. No view except the inside walls of the hotel at 2feet distance. Beds small and not comfortable. I guess the renovated rooms are better.
Price value; service and staff; breakfast
Very poor food choices and quality at hotel restaurants other than breakfast; could have given more soap and personal toiletry items.
Location convenient Low Price
Room smelled like sewage Toilet was not clean
Good location close to city center and metro stations; very nice view on acropolis from roof terrase (bar/restaurant); quite and clean rooms; very good breakfast buffet and good price/performance ratio
Excellent location , clean, reception staff very nice and helpful . Super cool rooms( air conditioning working very well!!! There were 37 degrees outside) The Olive Garden has an excellent view across Acropolis . I really loved it and I spent all the evenings during my stay there!
1.Thin walls- I could hear the next door neighbours even having a shower or using the toilet 2. The Olive Garden - the pieces were very high: 6.50 euros for a draught beer?!
Ac was good
Tried to give my family a smoking room when we declined they had us wait 3 hours and have keys another smoking room . We finally got a family room that was old and looked like a two star hotel in Romania. Desk guy lied to my face after each incident I had to grease the door mAn to get anything done And they wanted us to pay in advance
Location and view on olive garden. In previous visits we enjoyed our stay.
Room 829.Broken tiles in the bathroom, the bathroom is too small for a 5 star hotel, too much noise from the a/c compressors outside the room, uncomfortable mattress. Staff is not sufficient in the olive garden bar during busy hours.
location good house keeping comfortable room helpful and pleasant staff
There is no free wifi in the rooms.
Good price and location
Not a 4 star hotel. Awfull bathroom
The hotel is in a convenient position to reach the main attractions of the city as well as the airport. The service was good.
The wi-fi was available for free only in the hall of the hotel and just one hour per day. Otherwise it was very expensive. Even if we knew it before arriving we realize it wasn't convenient, also compared to other structures.
You can see Athens from above, fantastic view from the roof garden where you can enjoy your espresso or your drink at night! Wait until the sunset to see the Parthenon!
The location was excellent, close to every attraction in Athens.
The furniture was very simple.
The breakfast was the only highlight of the stay, along with a single member of staff who was the only person who was polite enough to offer any help (I think her name was Victoria)
we arrived on an early flight, something I had given the hotel prior knowledge of, and as our room was still not ready we were waiting in the lobby, which on first impressions makes the hotel appear impressive. We were happy to wait as we understood that we would not be guaranteed early access to the room, however we were faced with extremely rude and unhelpful concierge staff from the outset. We made a simple request of swapping our last day's breakfast for the day of arrival instead as on our last day we would have to leave the hotel at 3am, and quite frankly no one is able to stomach breakfast at that time. The staff refused to even consider such a proposition and said it couldn't be done as 'it would mess with the accounts', which for the life of me I still cannot understand why that should be the case. When I asked to speak to who I thought was to be the duty manager (which I later found out was in fact another concierge staff) he rudely dismissed me and wouldn't even look at me to give a basic explanation as to the logic of this refusal. When we were finally allowed into our room, we were even further disappointed. Old, worn out and poorly presented rooms. Not only would I not recommend this hotel but I would be tempted to tell people to think twice before booking.
Very central location, close to two metro stations and therefore with good access to airport. Excellent food available up side street within 10 minutes walk of hotel. Central market 10 minutes in opposite direction. Breakfast officially started at 06:30 but I was advised by staff that the basics were available from 05:30 for those (like myself) who had to leave for an early flight.
internet rather slow, but no great problem for someone like myself who was on holiday.
Location. Friendly staff
Slow elevators. Cleanliness in room and toilet has to be improved
Room looks like crap with a view to next building construction site (half a meter away). Everything is so dirty stay away from there
Very good location
