Everything was great and as advertised. Breakfast was lovely with a lot ıf choices, exceeded our expectations. Possible a la carte restaurant for lunch or dinner which was a life saver for Easter where many places were closed. Room was very spacious and location easily reachable downtown. Spa area was small but very well maintained. Spent a lovely evening there. All in all great hotel, great service and amenities for a reasonable price. Do not hesitate

My mom and I had a delightful stay in one of the hotel’s two-bedroom apartments. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and the fantastic location. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and were incredibly accommodating throughout our entire stay.
One of the highlights was the serene wellness area, which we were able to enjoy without the crowds due to the fewer number of guests during our visit.
Overall, our experience was exceptional, and we highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, well-located accommodation with incredibly friendly staff!

Pécs is a lovely place in Hungary with an expansive cultural heritage. The Cathedral, Széchenyi square and Zsolnay quarter are just a few of the must see spots. You can have very good food and wine (or beer) in Király street.
If you're feeling adventurous, Mecsek has the most amazing trails But even if you don't have whole day for hiking just make sure to visit Tettye and walk up to the observatory there.
Pécs is doable by foot most of the times, but has very accessible bus service as well. You can buy tickets on the bus with cash (forint).
Make sure to check the actual events (and book in advance) to experience the street market vibes, when all the best wineries of Hungary and traditional food stalls represent themselves.
See you in Pécs!

Pecs is a terrific little picturesque town with heaps of interesting churches, a mosque, a synagogue, museums and ancient burial sites. Most things are very close by. On Sunday everything is closed except cafes and it's like a ghost town which is good for avoiding hordes of tourists. Pecs is neat as a pin and would probably win a tidy town contest. There's plenty of food places and our favorite was the Korheli pub. I'm glad we chose to stop here for a couple of nights.

Not a crowded city, plenty of things to see. Older waiters and cashiers don't really speak foreign languages, even basic stuff was hard to convey to them, so have that in mind. Younger ones are more fluent in that department.

Many of the sights -- the Csontvary Museum, the Cathedral, in particular, are within easy walking distance of the Fonix hotel, where I stayed. The city is the home of a university, so the streets were filled with students and other young people. My trip was a Wednesday day trip by train from Budapest, so other than the main sights and the fact that the performance in the theatre was a one-man show in Hungarian, which I do not speak, I regret not having planned another, full day. The next time I visit Hungary, I'll spend a couple of days in Pécs; for what I saw whetted my appetite for more.

It's a beautiful city, has great restaurants, and quite a few things to do.
There are good places particularly for Italian food and seafood amazingly in this very landlocked city.
Plenty of quirky places to visit such as the cat cafe and the mosque church.

Lots of history in this tiny little town.
Lots of history in this tiny little town.
Beautiful historic downtown with great restaurants, bakeries to die for.
Roman ruins all over Pecs, St. Istvan tee with beautiful cathedral. Underground Roman ruins.
Near by wine country and thermal bath only about 30- 40 min drive.
Lively nightlife , very vibrant, very clean city.
Everything at this hotel was really nice and was perfect for our quick one-night stay. But we would definitely come back and stay longer next time. The location is excellent, the rooms and all areas of the hotel were clean, and the entire staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The size and furnishings in our room were perfect. And yes, the breakfast buffet is excellent, as many have already commented. The AC worked great in our room too. A highly recommended hotel in my book!!!
I love the hospitality of the staff as well as the location of the hotel. It is very tidy and cosy. The rooms are nicely equipped and if you fancy for a dinner in your hotel room there is a small kitchen which can cover all necessary needs. Great place to stay!
Even though the kitchen is fairly equipped in the rooms don't forget to bring some dishwasher liquid with you ;)
The hotel was very convenient to the sights I came to see. The room was comfortable, and when I opened the window for fresh air there was a breeze much of the time. I liked the fact that the room was oddly shaped, with a sloping roof: not at all like the cookie-cutter rooms one finds in many hotels. The breakfast was ample and nicely presented.
It's in the centre of the Pecs. In walking distance of everything. It's next to Arkad. To Sinagogue and centre of the city you have few hundred meters.
There is a parking on spot, turn right after the hotel.
Breakfast is great.
Staff was great. They speak english.
Big recomendation.
Everything was very good - the location of the Hotel in center of historical area of Pecs , the room with balcony, the variated breakfast, the staff excellent, nice and helpful. The Hotel has also a link with a garage with parking seats for cars. An excellent choice for travelers!
Bagolyvár Panzió is a hotel with good looking and sizeable rooms, that have good airconditioning. The breakfast is fine. Parking is for free and the restaurant across the compound serves fine meals. Both hotel and restaurant have an astonishing view on Pécs.
A nice small hotel minutes from the main central square in Pecs. Parking was a bonus and at very little cost. The room was small but clean and tidy. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. We were allowed an early check- in which was much appreciated.
The apartment was good and well positioned for exploring Pecs. The friendly hosts met us on time. It was quite well equipped and bright with the light from velum windows. The parking was easy when you have negotiated the slightly tight entrance.
Excellent location in the centre of Pécs. The breakfat was delicious and the staff had very good English skills. I booked a room with view which I highly recommend because of it's exceptional panoara view to the city.
We stayed just 1 night. The hotel is very clean, big rooms, everything you need. Situated outside the city on the hill, so not ok if you plan to visit the center of Pecs by foot. The breakfast is good.
This hotel is really something. The interior design is very very harmonic and posh,, it smells nice everywhere.. The rooms are spacious and modern. The floor heating in the bathroom is priceless.
It is ideally situated for walks in the Mecsek hills, and the zoo. The neighbourhood is very quiet, and it was not possible to eat out in 2 nearby hotels so we went into Pecs centre for meals.
Everything was amazing, but the location was exceptional. The hotel situated at one of the best locations of Pécs. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very delicious.
