We went to see the Christmas Markets which there are many.
We went to see the Christmas Markets which there are many. We managed to visit 8 in our 3 days and also had time to do some sightseeing. We enjoyed the Spanish Riding School training session. We went up the Danube tower and had coffee while the cafe rotated round. Really enjoyed the views.
We went to Stephansdom and went up the north tower with all the steps. Warning as there are 343 steps up and it is really steep with no place for a break until nearly at the top. Great views once up these. Still felt my legs ache the next day.
There are lots of good Austrian restaurants and great food.

A Magical Experience in Vienna
A Magical Experience in Vienna
Vienna truly lives up to its reputation as a city of beauty and charm. Our visit was unforgettable, especially during the festive season. The Christmas markets were a highlight—filled with delightful gifts, delicious food, and warming drinks. The atmosphere was magical, and we could have spent hours just soaking it all in.
A standout moment of our trip was visiting the Spanish Riding School and seeing the Lipizzaner horses in action. Their grace and elegance were breathtaking and a must-see for any visitor to the city.
Vienna offers so much to explore, from its stunning architecture to its rich culture and history. We barely scratched the surface, and we’re already planning to return. It’s a city that leaves you longing for more. Highly recommend!

Staff were friendly and helped with any requests. Room facilities were as advertised - toiletries provided in bathroom, rooms were made up daily. There were no extras like in other hotels, such as a safe, kettle etc but these were not advertised either. Even so, I requested one and it was provided (kettle). The location was great for me, easily accessible to city centre by public transport. Room was very spacious. Cheaper than most other hotels in Vienna.
The staff were all very helpful. The cuisine was of a very high standard. the breakfast had an excellent selection and the restaurant had a good selection od meals on the Menu. We ate in the hotel restaurant on evening and the meals were excellent and not overpriced. Approximately 20€ Person with coffee/juice. The hotel was close to the Underground, rail and tram station for connections to the city centre or surrounds of Vienna
The room was very big, clean and had a balcony which would have been good if it wasn't during a storm. The bathroom was very big with a separate toilet, shower and bath area, plus two sinks. The hotel is very close to a station to go to/from the airport, plus the tram/other trains to easily move around Vienna. Though it isn't that far to walk to many restaurants and the city centre.
The hotel was situated close to Arena Wien, where I saw a concert. The area around the hotel felt quite safe. I have no complaints but if I was in Vienna to sightsee, I would have chosen a hotel nearer the city centre
