FAQs about hotels in Vienna

Waltz Through the Pretty Streets of Vienna

Previously the centre of the Hapsburg Empire, Vienna is the current centre of Austria’s culture, economics, and politics. Visitors may think they are in a museum as they walk through the historic first district, but Vienna also has a youthful and dynamic side with lots to offer.

St Stephens Cathedral in the Inner-City is surrounded by the Ring Road, with grandiose buildings like City Hall, the Austrian Parliament, the State Opera House and the Burgtheater. Enjoy the city where amazing musicians like Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, and Mahler once lived. If you’'re visiting during the carnival season, practice your waltzing skills at one of Vienna’s 200 glamorous annual balls.

Visitors can wander around beautiful park grounds in the Wiener Prater and Schonbrunn Palace provides imperial and extravagant grounds to stroll through. After exploring, eat with the locals by enjoying famous sandwiches at Trzesniewski, a Wiener Schnitzel at Cafe Central or taste traditional wines at the city’s many Viennese pubs.

Vienna International Airport is the doorway to the heart of Vienna. Booking.com has luxury hotels, charming bed & breakfasts and modern apartments to meet any accommodation needs for your stay in Austria’s capital.

    Vienna is amazing.

Vienna is amazing. The cathedrals, old churches, old streets and buildings with different architecture. It's great to just wander in the streets taking it all in. The Spanish riding school is definitely worth a visit. It's an awesome experience, make sure you book the tour. Public transport is very easy, buses, trams or trains will take you anywhere. You can also cross over to Bratislava with a train in 1 hour for less than Eur20. Vienna is full of restaurants - check ratings online perhaps as the choice is unlimited. We ate at a local restaurant and 2 Italian restaurants. Nothing to complain about, food was all great! not cheap but good

We recommend Vienna for 3 to 4 days max.

We recommend Vienna for 3 to 4 days max. Lots of great restaurants, history and beautiful sights. Only negative is the local people are not friendly outside of those who work in hospitality and service industry, lets the city down a little bit. Just something to bear in mind is most things are shut on a Sunday (which I respect and think is great).

So many things to see and do.

So many things to see and do. We found the palaces a bit disappointing due to the over crowding (our visit was in February). Vienna Pass didn't save us much, if any, money but did save time queuing. We enjoyed the geology section in the Natural History museum and the recently reopened Museum of Vienna provides some thought provoking material. Can also recommend taking a class to learn how to dance the Viennese waltz!

The staff at the front desk was fantastic and helped us out with a couple of non hotel related issues. The hotel is very historic, so not neccessarily modern, and has quite a bit of charm. The staff is very professional and polite. The breakfast buffet in the morning is nice to get the day started. While most of the sights we wanted to see in Vienna were not nearby, one of the main train/metro stops is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, so it was easy to access anything in the city as well as the airport.

The Niu Franz was a great experience for us, everything being on top - a very friendly staff, tasty breakfast, a beautiful and clean room, all cozy and a very interesting building in terms of decorations and artistic concept. Not to forget the great location, easy access from the airport by train (S7) and with good conection to the city centre by tram (the station right in front of the hotel). Definitely the number #1 option for out next trip to Vienna. Cannot wait to be back.

The location of the hotel is so convenient for a short break to Vienna with the proximity of the underground metro almost next door. Also, the city centre is within easy walking distance for visitors who are fortunate to have no mobility issues. Surrounding area is busy but very clean and well maintained. The room itself was spacious, well appointed and had a good working temperature control. Breakfast area was well laid out and the choice of food was extremely good.

Good hotel to stay at if you want to be in the middle of Downtown Vienna. Right on the main shopping street so lots of people during the day but clears out at night. Easy walking to lots of good restaurants and old city center is only a 10-15 minute walk. Is only 15 minute walk from Westbahnhof train station. Hotel staff was very helpful. We had a early morning flight out of Vienna and they called and scheduled a taxi to pick us up and take us to the airport.

You can find parking spots on the street, they are free of charge during the night. There's also a public parking garage nearby, "Tiefgarage Lerchenfelderstraße - Wien | APCOA", we paid 14 Euros for a night and 12 hours during the day, although you need the app of the parking garage and the app is not available for all the countries. The Hotel is great for its position, you can visit by foot all the major attractions of Vienna's City Center.

Definitely the staff, honestly as a frequent traveler I have been to so many hotels also in Europe, this is the best hotel employees in entire hotels I have visited . Nice, kind, always a smile from front desk to reception to restaurant not a single person who doesn’t put a big smile in your face. Seriously, let other hotel staff in Europe get a training on hospitality from the Ritz-Carlton staff in Vienna Thank you all thank you Vienna

The rooms are very beautiful, well equipped and clean. We had a fully functional kitchen, a very comfortable bed and everything we could possibly need. I enjoyed cooking for us, the kitchen is great. It's an apartment inside a hotel, which we loved. The location is great, close to the city centre and with the U2 metro line 2 minutes away. We even got a complimentary ride from the airport to the hotel.

The hotel has excellent location for people coming to the Vienna International Center and/or UN. It is also well connected with the city center. The airport shuttle bus stops right in front of the hotel. But the best of all is staff--they really went out of their way to help and make my stay comfortable. Rooms are spacious. I didn't take breakfast so I cannot say anything about that.

We stayed four nights in a twin room (father and daughter). Room was spacious and clean. Staff very helpful. Location was good with a 20 minutes into the city centre and choice of metro lines and tram routes. Breakfast was very very good with a wide choice, meaning I did not eat till dinner each day. Hotel was reasonable value for Vienna, which I find expensive on the whole.

Parking garage is close to the hotel and not expensive for Vienna. It's nice neighbourhood, really close to Karlsplatz and also close to city centre, we walked almost everywhere.

As we were travelling by train the location of the hotel, across the road from the mainline station, suited us. Although it is approximately 3km south of the city centre the transport links in Vienna are so good that it is very easy to get around the city. There is a decent bar and reception area, and they provide a good breakfast.
