Not a fan of the daily public transportation ticket, seems it’s a premium for tourists
Food was pretty good as well… ok really good.
Do yourself a favour. Go to The aquarium museum. It’s a repurposed flak tower with a restaurant/cafe on top…. Best views of Vienna, don’t think it’s advertised!

We went for the Christmas markets predominantly.
We went for the Christmas markets predominantly. The main ones didn't disappoint put some were a bit cheesy! Weather was great so we were able to wander around the streets of the old town and visit the many churches and palaces. Dont go to Vienna if you are trying to lose weight as the coffee houses with their massive choice of cakes will test the resolve of even the strictest dieter!!!

Exceptional staff and service. Very clean as well with daily housekeeping if wanted. The location was perfect as only 2 stops from the city centre via tram service 43 amd 44 along with services 5 and 33 going north and south. The continental breakfast is great value for money if you pre-booked it or pay on daily basis depending on plans. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable on just about everything and can tell you how to get anywhere or what things to see or do.
I won't use any other hotel in Vienna due to all the above.
what a fantastic place this is! in the city centre of Vienna in walkable distance of some great sights and close to the main central station that has a direct connection to the airport - almost don’t want to praise this too much and keep as a secret to myself but that wouldn’t be fair to the team of grätzlhotel, as they were fantastic. a lovingly chosen and contemporary design of the room made us feel right at home and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for accommodation in Vienna!
The location of the hotel is so convenient for a short break to Vienna with the proximity of the underground metro almost next door. Also, the city centre is within easy walking distance for visitors who are fortunate to have no mobility issues. Surrounding area is busy but very clean and well maintained. The room itself was spacious, well appointed and had a good working temperature control. Breakfast area was well laid out and the choice of food was extremely good.
Staff were very helpful with checking in and out, as well as looking after luggage.
Although it was expensive, you’re paying for a good hotel in the city centre. Also, it has a very old school Vienna feel (which I see as a positive) and it has charm. It was also quiet and peaceful and coming back to crash with the air conditioning on after long, busy days was really comforting.
Would definitely recommend!
