FAQs about hotels in Budapest

A City of Two Halves

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.

Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it offers the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.

Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try this than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.

To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.

With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels on offer in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes your choice completely easy.

Budapest has so much to offer, not only interesting cultural monuments, museums and churches, but also street art, ruin bars, the Margaret Island, the Jewish quarter, the Memento park… and good food, cozy streets, an excellent network of public transport and friendly people! And altogether, the destination is not expensive at all. We (65+) enjoyed the excellent Ensana spa hotel and the fact that we could travel around free of charge!

We went during a busy time of the year. Happy that New Year was exactly what we expected but having a lot of people around made dinner reservations next to impossible. Overall though, it is a lovely city with a public transportation that works! A lot of very reasonably priced dining options as well a slew of interesting street food. Vibrant city.

Get the red bus for 48hrs, hop on hop off, as many boat trips you fancy, do the evening one when everything is illuminated. Visit the shoes memorial if you can stand it, I cried buckets!! Goulash soup and chicken Paprikash was awful.

We stayed 2 nights but would have stayed maybe another 2 nights. Because there were 2 sides to Budapest we only saw the Pest side and stayed in the Jewish Quarter. We found the Bolt taxis were beyond excellent all taxi came with 3 minutes shortest been 30 seconds. We enjoyed a visit to The Parliament building, museum and boat trip. The boat Trip was at night so we saw the buildings all lit up on our trip. However, if you are not at the front of the queue you end up in the downstairs section partially underwater with limited view. We will definitely return.

Main reason for visit was famous spas and really enjoyed.Explored the city and found ,metro, bus and trains easy to use .Found couple of good restaurants, Robinsons in Central Park was fantastic. Visited The Horror Museum, eye opener on oppressive pass. Strolled along Danube River and took in lovely architecture. Took a train to Aquicum Roman Museum in the suburbs. Took the Fencular train to Castle Hill. Loads of other things to do too.Ice Ring,Zoo and Circus or just sit in the park. Four nights we stayed was enough, would recommend getting to know transport system straight away ,as cheap ,easy to use and good service..

The hotel is just great: clean, spacious, bright. You can feel that everything is new here and designed with a good taste. It is very convenient to have a kitchen with full equipment: even a filter for water is there. The host - Alex, is the best you can wish for: always there to help. Even by the phone. Speaks Russian, so my parents were just happy about it :) We ordered the rooms with a breakfast at Astoria hotel nearby and enjoyed it too. I have no problem staying at places like Budapest Global Suites permanently!

The location of this hotel is perfect for a trip to Budapest. Took the bus from the airport to the city centre and then a 5 minute walk to the hotel. So close to absolutely everything we walked everywhere the whole weekend. Very modern and contemporary design. Super clean and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and the breakfast was lovely with nothing to complain about. We would deffo book here again if we come back to Budapest and will recommend to family and friends.

The Hotel is perfectly located in the city center, all the best places in the city are at 10-15 minutes walk or within 1-2 metro/tram stops. The staff, from reception to breakfast, was absolutely amazing and very helpful with every need and request we had. The room was exactly as described in the images, and the bed was very comfortable. Bottom line - Great pick for the best Budapest experience :)

Location is outstanding, right in the city centre, and all of Budapest's biggest attractions can be reached on foot. Room was bright, modern and cleaned daily. Air conditioning worked perfectly well, essential as the weather was very hot. Iron and kettle were provided for me on arrival. Breakfast was nice, perfectly adequate for a three star hotel. All staff I engaged with were pleasant.

Amazingly welcoming staff, beautiful rooms, very calm and relaxing atmosphere away from the noise of the city centre. We slept better than we ever have thanks to the super comfortable beds and extremely quiet rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we would happily return to Kozmo next time we’re in Budapest. A real gem of a hotel.

The best thing about the hotel was the location. It was almost close to the center of Budapest, not to brag about this. The room was warm and Wi-Fi was everywhere even for the strength that was medium. Breakfast was great and we had the chance to choose between a variety of things to eat.
