Silver Crown Hotel & Residence, Palace Quarter, hotel in Budapest

Set in Budapest, within 0.4 km of Dohany Street Synagogue and 0.7 km of Hungarian National Museum, Silver Crown Residence features accommodation with a flat-screen TV and a kitchen.

Nice modern touch on an old building. All mechanisms were very digitalised and modernised. There were also really comfy beds but they were unfortunately two pushed together instead of one big bed. But nothing to worry about. They have a good amount of curtains so at night it was completely dark and i slept like a baby.

FAQs about hotels in Budapest

A City of Two Halves

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.

Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it offers the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.

Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try this than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.

To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.

With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels on offer in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes your choice completely easy.

    Beautiful city, amazing views.

Beautiful city, amazing views. The Basilica and Synagogue are spectacular inside and out. Literally hundreds of bars and restaurants line the streets and we didn't find a bad one. The city is exceptionally clean. Recommend the Big Bus 3 day ticket for getting around.

An absolutely fascinating city. A bit like stepping back in time. Many beautiful buildings, inside and out, a lot of history. All very interesting, a bit different than the rest of western Europe. I must mention the many public baths, they are fabulous, and make a visit here extra special.

Budapest is an appreciable city for its architecture, walks by the Danube river, clean shopping streets and numerous restaurants/bars. We did a few attractions (Hungarian Parliament, thermal baths, Buda castle and Gellert Hill); one must know free options are limited and a fee is often required to access building interiors, museums, sight seeing points, etc.

Budapest is a lovely city taking place on both sides of Danube. It has a lot to offer, museums, bars, historical building and monuments, relaxing by the river/parks, nice views and walks. Don't let yourself fool for high end restaurants as the best ones are the small, old fashioned look ones like 'Toldi konyhája'. the best you can mdo is to combine fast ways of moving like metro or tram with walking in the historical streets and admiring the old era.

Budapest is a beautiful city but it has become very expensive and in many places the food quality is not that good. There are also many immigrants, more then ever before...not sure that this is a good sign.

    Budapest is a hidden gem!

Budapest is a hidden gem! For a large European city, it is still reasonably affordable. Cost for public transportation is incredibly inexpensive. There are numerous sites to visit, and the City is very pedestrian friendly. There are amazing paved paths along the Danube plus a beautiful island for a peaceful walk, run or cycle. Visit the Buda hills for some spectacular views! Famous for its thermal mineral baths, a visit to one of the many spas is an essential part of the Budapest experience. Highly recommended!

Parking in Budapest might be a bit tricky and expensive, and so I choose this hotel because I was looking for a place where I can safely leave my car over the night and still easily reach the city centre. The hotel has a surprisingly big parking lot behind the building, which was great. And the underground was in 5min walk, so the location was also perfect for us. The staff was really kind, and the room was very quiet and cozy, good value for money.

Location was perfect - right in the city centre with shops and cafes / restaurants on the same street. The reception staff were lovely and helpful, they even let us check in early as the room was ready on arrival. Very clean and beautifully decorated room, bed was huge and very comfortable! Would definitely recommend staying here, the price was great compared to other nearby hotels. We will return on our next visit to Budapest! Thank you

Location is outstanding, right in the city centre, and all of Budapest's biggest attractions can be reached on foot. Room was bright, modern and cleaned daily. Air conditioning worked perfectly well, essential as the weather was very hot. Iron and kettle were provided for me on arrival. Breakfast was nice, perfectly adequate for a three star hotel. All staff I engaged with were pleasant.
