Budapest center is pretty walkable with nice historical sights. Brilliant view from Fisherman Bastion. Unique experience in Andrássy street with the old subway line. I can recommend Parasztkonyha restaurant for hungarian cuisine, playground for kids is just opposite (this playground has WC and water available). Paid parking in the streets (free of charge over the weekend), not easy to find a spot.

Budapest is a beautiful city with a lot to see and do.
Budapest is a beautiful city with a lot to see and do. The area around the Danube is lined with majestic buildings with beautiful architecture. It is very easy to get around Budapest - the public transport is very efficient and punctual. We bought the 15-day Budapest pass and always used public transport, even to get to the airport on our last day. Some of our favorite places to visit were: Fisherman's bastion, the Buda castle caves, Margaret island and Szechenyi Thermal baths. There are also quiet a few museums to visit. The highlight of our trip was a candlelit dinner cruise on the Danube river - every building around the Danube was lit up and we had an excellent time enjoying the views and taking pictures. The only downside to our trip was the extreme heat - we went there in mid July and it was very hot and humid. If we had to visit again, we would definitely visit when the weather is cooler. One last thing - the people there are not very friendly, if you ask for help, they will most likely act as if they don't know you're talking to them. So I recommend you plan your day in advance and have internet access on your phone so as to be more independent.TiffanyMalta - Scored 1010

Great things to see in Budapest - every street is a new experience - the architecture transports you to history. Definitely visit the Tropicarium and Budapest Zoo, the Castle District and the list goes on... There are a lot of different restaurants for you to choose from. We ate in Vietnamese ones - they were great! Public transport is top notch but if you are there on the weekend - use you car - the parking is FREE everywhere!!! If you have children - visit the Zoo and definitely their City Park - it's one of a kind!clivadaCroatia
