staff, especially at the cofee shop on main level could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. Spacious rooms, good location
rooms were dimly lit
Everything was excellent apart from too loud music in the bar making it difficult to have 4 person conversation.
Location is fantastic. room service was very good and prompt
There was no inside car park and driver accommodation available in the locality.
Everything! From the warm welcome til check out time! Excellent staff, high quality service! Concierge, room service, laundry, etc all is perfect! Very clean room, very quite, beautiful surrounding, huge outdoor terrase, perfect location, basically I love everything about this hotel. I've stayed at the taj mansingh and itc Maurya, but nothing can beat the Claridges!!!! Definitely will come back when visiting delhi!
We stayed here on arrival in India, our first visit, and were very comfortable (how could anyone not be).
But we did find that the formal service rather too formal for our taste. We would have appreciated it more at the end of our India stay!
I like everything about this hotel. It is in an excellent position, central to everything. The Dhaba restaurant is really good and the rooms are comfortable with all needs catered for. The staff are unfailingly attentive and polite.
Nothing to dislike.
Location, peaceful, lawn garden an oasis away from the bedlam and noise, Excellent service from well trained staff.
The Claridges is the most comfortable hotel with excellent food and attentive staff in a very central location in Delhi. As a solo traveller for business I am made to feel very welcome and at home.
Great location in New Delhi that feels like an Oasis of calm. A classy classic hotel with all the expected amenities as well as several excellent restaurants. The staff were simply superb and really made our stay memorable..no task was too big
It would have been great to have had complimentary Wifi in the rooms.
Expensive hotel with exceptional facilities in Delhi´s residential area - two flat screen TV in the room, even scissors !; beautiful public areas; excellent staff : I would like to mention especially Gaurav Sanhotra in "Sevilla" as well as Arjun Vaid in "Pickwicks" restaurant.
Some parts of the hotel are undergoing renovation - it was sometimes quite noisy around the swimming pool. Due to the renovation I was also unable to use the fitness room.
Staff were very helpful and charming.
Bit frustrating not to be able to eat in the Indian restaurant either night. It was always fully booked.
We liked this hotel - the staff were great, the food was excellent, and the overall facility was perfect for our needs
Good location, fabulous staff.... Always friendly, eager to serve.... Om Prakash is a gem in Pickwick's!
Higher room rates were charged compared to what were shown while booking at booking.com
Decor of inside was brilliant. Stylish, spotless, spacious. Fabulous sized room. comfortable bed.
Pickwicks was a bit disorganised and disappointing desert. A party event taking place around the pool caused a bit of disturbance with music when we tried to get to sleep at 10pm , owing to an early start the next day, but the music did stop I think by 11pm. Garden wasn't as big as we had imagined from details, and not as quiet given proximity of road and seemed very formal. More chairs for just sitting, rather than taking tea etc . would have been appreciated. It is always disappointing when, because a hotel is high rated and therefore more expensive to stay in, the food and drink and every other facility costs more too. Outside of building around the pool needs a coat of paint. Spa out of action for works.
Good bed gave comfortable sleep. Staff were friendly and Dhaba restaurant was great. Booking the restaurant again on my next visit nov 26. Not staying at the hotel though.
Small room and rates as high as other better hotels with larger rooms and facilities like Maurya and Taj.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms extremely comfortable.
There was work going on to update facilities in the hotel and our room was affected by the noise. However, we were offered a room in a quieter area where we slept and allowed to keep our original room to save us the trouble of moving,
Exceeded our expectations.
Spacious room Great breakfast Friendly and helpful staff Relaxing environment
Bit noisy in rooms as sound carries from hallways. Could hear vacuuming of hallways at 2am!
Service Concierge Location Quality of food Comfortable room availability of swimming-pool and Gym
Major renovation / structural works being conducted throughout our stay. Resultant noise, dust, and non-availability of facilities. Avoid, if at all possible, during these periods.
Staff is excellent; so well trained and anticipates ones needs. Great location.
Staff - very polite and helpful Cleanliness of hotel The Doorman!!
The pool was not operating as it was being refurbished for the season. We were not told until we got there. We particularly wanted a pool and were very disappointed. The taxes on food and accommodation were high. We cancelled our second visit for these reasons and re booked elsewhere.
Showers were great. Good breakfast. Attentive staff
1. Location 2. Seville, the restaurant. 3. Room size and desk in it (Rm. 206) 4. The general amenities.
1. Difficult to fix small problems without talking to a senior person. i.e. Duty Manager or above. Probably because of a lack of conceptual understanding by more junior staff. Training? 2. Slow and erratic service in the coffee shop. One had to hail a waiter even when the restaurant was near empty!! 3. The plugs in the rooms (in this case 206) are either inconveniently placed or invisible. Had to go through a song and dance to get an extension cord (at my own suggestion!) placed in the room. 4. The internet in my colleague's room (208) was erratic although mine was fine. The point is, his never got fixed during a 72 hour stay nor did he get a credible explanation for the problem (which could have been his own computer)! 5. Why is it not possible to have "real" coffee placed in the room by way of a French Press or some such. It would make you stand up and above all other similar category hotels...trust me!! 6. Though well meant, the staff was too quick to offer "complimentary" coffee in the room, etc. when I was complaining about a problem. The discerning client wants the problem fixed - not coffee, tea or even a meal. 7. Your relatively low room rate, appears to have been compensated for by your menu rates in the restaurants. A mistake, because the perception is that the in-house guest is penalized and the off the street restaurant crowd wooed; but the latter is because they can afford to spend the cash as a one off expenditure for the genuinely good atmosphere. But, the point is, this practice, or even strategy, may be alienating your room sales!!
