Offering refined accommodation just 400 metres from Santa Maria Novella Station, the Grand Hotel Adriatico is in Florence’s centre, a 10-minute walk from Florence’s Duomo.

the roof terrace is stunning!
The location was great and the staff very helpful
Beds hard as a rock and very noisey
The hotel decor and the staff, the breakfast up on the top floor looking over Florence was good also.
€9.30 for a lemoncello in the bar !! but not a real gripe :) I think they miss an oppurtunity not to serve a night cap on the terrace, even in early November it was warm and really nice up there in the evening.
locality view of duomo in a.m.
The location is perfect, being few minutes walk from the central train station and many tourists attractions
Nothing was uncomfortable
WaS authentic Florence very helpful especially Leonardo (concierge) great guy.
We had a suite with a king - turned out to not be a King. The room however was lovely and we really enjoyed the included buffet breakfast. Beautiful views and excellent AC. The interior of the hotel is lovely and we enjoyed the location and found many fun restaurants in the area. It is not close to many of the attractions but a 15 to 20 minute walk did not bother us.
We reserved the best room/suite that the property offered and we felt snubbed by the front desk staff. They seemed sort of snotty and stuck up.
Convenient to railroad station, but also close to major sights
Room was very dark, with poor lighting. Very old property in need of renovation.
Excellent location, right across the street from SMN station (for those who want to go around Italy by train) and the departure points of groups and near to all the sights of Florence. I loved the older style atmosphere of the hotel with luxury furnishings.Bedroom very large and comfortable with beautiful decoration. The bathroom was spacious and luxerious.Very nice view from my window.Breakfast with one of the best panoramic city view.Roof terrace was stunning, ,with a great view, perfect spot for an evening or afternoon drink.
Very poor Wi-Fi connection in the room
Most pleasant staff, the moment we arrived: porters, front desk, restaurants, laundry and concierge! Excellent!
Breakfast unbelievable!!! Bravo...
the location, the staff,
the hard bed, the air con. noise and difficulty to switch it off.
The hotel is fascinating with its historic decorations and ambiance. Its place is great and the view from the roof is worth seeing.
The antiquity of the hotel doesn't comply with the modern world. Many things that I looked for was missing such as a pool and a nice bar with music.
The hotel was stunning. Superb location. The room was beautifully decorated, although could have done with some extra lighting.
Sometimes the staff were a little too aloof for their station, however this could be something that is typical of the culture of living in this area.
The decor Friendly staff Choice and quality of breakfast Roof terrace bar Room facilities
location adjacent to bus/train and right at the entrance to the old town couldn't be better located superb views from the dining/breakfast area and the rooftop terrace!!!
A very beautiful, historical, classic style hotel. Location very good, just 2 mins walking to Firenze S.M.N station. Nice view at restaurant on 5th floor, facing to the roof top of the Duomo.
Part of the floor in the room creaked when we stepped on it.
Restaurant for breakfast (on top floor). Roof top view. (but food from breakfast is not allowed to take to the roof top tables). Location
room- Too dark. Needs more receptionists. Long wait to check out.
The location, downtown, 5 min from Signoria' Square and Pitti Palace, Boboli's Gardens. The top roof of the hotel is amazing, the view of Florence is stunning.
The price is way to high for the quality. The breakfast is quite poor, the staff service and in the organization...burnt bacon and cold scramble eggs, tables not ready for the hotel guests, forks and spoons missing from the table, few peole, strangers, sharing the same table and so on). This des not belong to a 4 stars hotel. The staff is not really friendly, and the bed linens are totally acrylic. The hotel is totally too expensive from the service you get back. I do not recommend it.
Underground walkway lead directly to the hotel from Train station. Good breakfast spread. I've stayed in this hotel in 2010, and decided to book the same hotel for the convenience for this trip. I have a better room this time!
WiFi connectivity is patchy.
If you are looking to stay in Florence for a few short days, this place is great. Right across the street from the rail station (for those looking to bounce around Italy by train). Restaurant has an incredible view of the duomo.
Staff were nice, but at times it seemed more like an apartment than a hotel. They rarely interacted with us. This was one stop along our honeymoon through Italy -- pretty room, but wouldn't recommend for romantic trip or honeymoon.
i love the atmosphere of older style established hotels with luxury furnishings and helpful staff.
Terrace, breakfast, decorating, style, location
Close to a Main Street, old place without sound isolation so it can get noisy in your bedroom Saturday and Friday evening
The roof top terrace/view The location right next to the train station The restaurant/bar staff - friendly and amusing
The lack of iron and the high laundry rates
Excellent location. The concierge was very helpful and efficient. One of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had.
Very small bathtub, extremely difficult to take a shower.
