I am 63 years old I am English by birth but now live in Sri Lanka with my wife Thushari. I fell in love with Sri Lanka 35 years ago with its people food and scenery and I like to meet people over good food with great conversation.

Set amidst the Knuckles Mountain Range in Sri Lanka, near Kandy, Welikande Yoga retreats is the ideal place to reconnect with yourself, surrounded by the beauty of nature. A place that really feels like home. We specialise in hosting all-inclusive yoga retreats especially created for those who want a short break from the stresses of the world and to reconnect with their inner self. Our aim is for you to feel relaxed and at home, combined with rest, activities and laughter to provide as much or as little for you to do as you wish. We have 10 double / twin en-suite rooms, fitted with a shower and free WIFI throughout the property. Our range of activities include hikes with certified central province guides, an ayurvedic massage and unique local experiences. Whilst at the property we nourish your body with wholesome Sri Lankan style food cooked fresh for you by our talented chefs (vegetarian and vegan friendly). Every morning we start with hatha yoga followed by afternoon meditation, restorative, yin, and yoga Nidra tailored to your own body and mind. There is a large Yoga Shala, a meditation Shala on the top of the mountain, and a swimming pool.

Our area is unspoilt by tourism with tea plantations waterfalls and endless nature. There is a lot to do from our own cookery courses to visiting the local womens co- operative weavers as well as organised trekking in and around the Knuckles Mountains with well trained guides.
