Welcome to “Casa do Areal”. This remodelled quirky countryside house was our Grandparents home for over 30 years and originally built by our grandfather and his sons in 1975. This is where we played as children and made fond memories of our family. Sadly, during the devastating wildfires of 2017 the house was partly destroyed and our sense of loss gave us the motivation to rebuild it and make it once again a place for memories. It is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Mira, a coastal town in Portugal’s Costa de Prata. Only a few minutes by car (or a few more by bicycle) to the beach, the house’s backyard overlooks the forest where trees and green will be your companions during your stay. If you enjoy nature, the outdoors and traditional food then get ready for an amazing experience. Walking, cycling, birdwatching, canoeing, surfing and much more are all within reach. If you’re looking to disconnect from a hectic city life, where children can play in the street or in the backyard and you can experience a slow and relaxing time then look no further! On arrival, we will make sure to welcome and provide you with everything you need for an unforgettable experience for you and your family or friends. The house has 2 bedrooms with double beds and a third bedroom with four single beds. So it can accommodate up to 8 guests. Casa do Areal is located in a very quiet street, lined with family houses and pine forests. Very close to places like Lagoa de Mira, Moinhos da Fazendeira and Praia de Mira. Close to several picnic parks, it is served by several options for pedestrian or cycle routes. Only 1 hour away from Oporto and its airport, the house is very close to fantastic well-known cities in the country such as Aveiro, Coimbra and Figueira da Foz. Located on the Silver Coast, in the Gandara region, during your stay in Casa do Areal you can discover a unique culture, gastronomy, nature and tons of great thing to enjoy your time 🦩🍀😉
