Our house/apartment is a two storey building with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sauna, fully equiped kitchen with a fire place, and a small sitting area upstairs with a sofa and a 55 inch flat tv. It was built in 2021 and is elegant at the same time as it has a lot of mountain feeling, enhanced by the inner height of almost 10 meters to the ceiling. Outside, on the shared courtyard, there’s a fireplace and tables for dining outside when the weather permits. There’s also a shared laundry room and a room for waxing skis in the winter and fixing your bike in the summer. Water and hose is available for cleaning bikes. Storage boxes for skis, with padlocks, are available outside. Parking is free, there’s a designated parking are for residents, and there’s also a smaller parking area where you can charge your electric car (ChargeNode, for a fee). The center of Funäsdalen, where the shops and restaurants are located, is just a three minute drive away. Keys, cleaning and all the practical stuff You will be checking in at the office of Stugvärden. Stugvärden is also your main point of contact during your stay with us, they will help you with any matters related to the accommodation. Cleaning is not included in the price. Either you clean before departing, all the necessary equipment is available, or you order departure cleaning from Stugvärden for 1595 SEK (or 845 SEK if you’re a Swedish citizen elegible for RUT-avdrag). It’s wise to do so a bit in advance, especially during the most busy winter weeks. More information on this, and contact information to Stugvärden, will be sent to you after you make your reservation. Upon your departure you’ll return the key to Stugvärden. Please see the information on when and where to check-in and out. And no worries, it’s a super easy process that goes really quick :)

Ready to explore all that Funäsfjällen has to offer? From our apartment house, with a true ski in/ski out position at the foot of the village mountain Funäsdalsberget, you’re in perfect position to fast reach the best alpine and cross-country skiing in the winter, and the best hikes, bike paths and fishing waters in the summer. The location is ideal, all year around. Winter Funäsfjällen is known for great skiing conditions with lots of natural snow covering slopes and pists. It's one of the most snow proof destinations in Sweden. Funäsberget, one of the lifts is just 100 meters from our house, attracts skiers from December to April. When you have explored all that this mountain has to offer, the larger ski destinations of Tänndalen and Ramundberget are just 20 minutes away by car. They are included in the same ski pass, so you can try them all out for the same cost. If you like to go cross-country skiing there’s a track within short walking distance from the accommodation, it follows the river Ljusnan for 15 kilometers to the village of Bruksvallarna. It’s recommended to have a car. But if you don’t the ski bus takes you between the different ski resorts – included in your ski pass. Summer If you’re a nature lover, this is the place for you. Summer in Funäsfjällen is amazing with nice, cool temperatures and perfect conditions for hiking, biking, or just enjoying the mountains and wilderness. In a quite small area, there are more than 100 peaks reaching over 1000 meters, with the majestic Helags at 1796 meters being Swedens highest mountain south of the arctic circle. The area has a lot of well-marked hiking tracks, but also large areas of untouched nature. If you’re into MTB, Ramundberget and Tänndalen offers downhill cycling, and in the forests and on the mountain plains there are plenty of cycle routes. The rivers and streams are crystal clear and home to both trout and arctic char. A fishermans paradise, and also nice to explore in a canoe or on a SUP-board.
