Lviv has so much cultural heritage that words hardly do it justice. It was under Polish, Habsburg and Soviet rule before rejoining Ukraine, and all have left dramatic marks. No fewer than 5 cathedrals grace cobbled streets with attractive parks and elegant buildings worthy of Vienna.
Potocki Palace is a grand former nobleman’s home and the Palace of Siemienski-Lewickis is equally impressive. Kornyakt Palace is a Renaissance jewel that became a royal residence, and the Ensemble of Ruska Street is an eclectic collection of buildings contributing to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic centre.
Lviv University is Ukraine’s oldest and was part of an intellectual circle attracting immigrants which earned the city the nickname of ‘Little Paris’. Shevchenka Avenue is named after Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko and a statue of him sits on a square housing the celebrated Lviv Theatre of Opera and Ballet and Lviv National Museum.
The town hall on Market Square is surrounded by colourful buildings housing shops and cafes, and the castle ruins overlook all of this from High Castle Park.
This is just a snapshot of what the city offers and Booking.com’s great accommodation range helps you discover this and more. The luxury city centre hotels, cheap hostels and apartments near Arena Lviv Euro 2012 football stadium are all easily accessible from the airport.

Beautiful city, full of charm and fascinating details on every corners. Loads of cafes and restaurants with unique delicious foods, and themed bars for late evenings. Everything you'd want to see is in the city centre so no need to use transport or car, it is completely walkable, the only thing to keep in mind 90% of the roads are cobble stone, so choose comfortable shoes.

There's a war...far to the east. There's a curfew.
There's a war...far to the east. There's a curfew. There are occasional air raid alerts. Doesn't matter. The food is great. Churches and monuments are open. Don't bring high heels. All the streets are cobblestone.

It was our first trip to Ukraine and we will definitely come back. Lviv is full of interesting buildings and good eateries. The people are friendly and helpful and the streets are clean (no rubbish). We were thinking how much like Krakow this pretty town could become with EU subsidies! Lots of impressive churches - and great history. If you want to visits Ukraine (also during the war) this is a very good place to go.

Lviv is an amazing and vibrant city!
Lviv is an amazing and vibrant city! Even though there is a war going on, it never felt that one was going on. The people are always smiling and going about their business which contributes to the feeling there is no war going on.
I will recommend the coffee shop Glory Cafe. The place is just amazing! Beautiful architecture and amazing sweets and coffee to eat and drink.
The transportation system in Lviv is extensive. I don't think it is necessary to rent a vehicle at all. All the touristic/historical sites are either within walking distance or a short bus/torley ride.

Lviv is simply breathtaking!
Lviv is simply breathtaking! It's because the mixage of beautiful Hapsburg style architecture, the wide city centre, the old armory, castle hill, cemetery of astonishing beauty combined with so many charming places serving really good food and drinks is so well balanced it's almost miraculous.
It is unbelievable to find so much optimism and strength in this city in a country in war. This fact, which can't be considered unnoticeable, is something that both raised my respect for the city inhabitants as well as strengthened my desire to return soon in spring.
Arnold would say: "I'll be back" and so do I!!
A rather new hotel sitting in the convenient location - rather quiet yet in a walking distance from the very center of Lviv. My apartment was very spacious, yet cosy and comfortable. Crispy clean. Very big and well-equipped bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower. All is new and well-maintained. Big comfortable bed. Very good lighting. Huge terrace. Dedicated parking space (yet not very big). Try nice and attentive staff. Very good breakfast. Finally, a free coffee machine in the lobby with good coffee is a nice bonus.
Great location, just in the heart of Lviv, at the same time you don’t hear the noise from the street, it’s really quiet. The building is very old, it’s protected by the law as a historical legacy, at the same time the hotel is well equipped and maintained. The room is relatively small, but again well equipped, smart organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi, heating, kitchenette, kettle, kitchenware, glasses, cups, tea, good breakfast included. We were pleased to stay there.
Apartment was very spacious and clean, great location to the center of the city. Everything is within walking distance. Beds were comfy plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Staff waited for our arrival and were extremely polite and helpful. I even left my driving licence and they immediately told me about this and are keeping hold of it for when I next return to Lviv. Beautiful country beautiful building and many other beautiful things too 😉 Slava Ukraine!!!!
Very nice boutique hotel with excellent location right in the middle of the main Lviv square . More , staff was very pleasant and helpful; the place has no elevator but that lovely lady in the front desk obliged us and had our heavy luggage brought up to out room , many thanks . Breakfast was a La kart with variety of items to suit many tastes, service was excellent . I will definitely recommend this quaint hotel
I absolutely loved the attention of the staff! They did everything to accommodate us and made it so convenient for us even though we had some hardships getting into Ukraine. Fantastic people and friendly environment. They kept us safe and at the same time gave us great service. The details in the room were amazing, they thought of everything for the greatest comfort. The breakfast was delicious and perfect.

very very good hotel with spa and pool and private parking, which I always look for when traveling by car. The location is not so far from the center where you can walk or use Bolt, Uber or taxi and this transport is fast and cheap so it is good.
Breakfast is pleasant and offers what you need, personal is great, so just a plus for everyone
Located in the centre of the city, this hotel offers great facilities, especially for young travellers. Being 1-2 minutes away from the most important points of the city, the hotel staff's good command of English is a very rare feature for Ukraine. We were very satisfied. thanks for everything.
Olga at Front Desk Reception was very professional, helpful and spoke very good in English, which was a bit surprising for me to see in Western Ukraine. The hotel, really is located in the center of Lviv. A lot of foreigners. Good breakfast. Very good parking. Good price/quality.
Friendly staff. The room was big and the sheets and towels were clean and comfortable. It was very good value for money when I stayed there. I think that it is a very good hotel for a long stay in Lviv. Especially recommended for those who have a car.
Awesome art-hotel in historical center of Lviv. Unusual, original an unique room design, extremely friendly staff. Most part of Lviv attractions are in walking distance, some of them - less than in minute.
a very nice hotel located in the old town of Lviv.
Staff are friendly, rooms are small-ish but comfortable and well appointed.
I wish i had a longer time, not just a layover in Lviv.
Highly recommend.
The location, the fact that they have generator so if you need constant supply of electricity because of the ongoing irregular power supply in ukraine , you might try staying at the place.
Location staff are so friendly the front desk are so professional and so nice.
The design of the hotel was magnificent
It’s near to the center and all the important areas in LVIV
The staff were very nice. The room was comfortable and clean. I could control the temperature in the room, which is rare in Ukraine. The breakfast was tasty.
