My room had roaches and the carpets were dirty in the halls with spots all over it and the coffee dispenser was nasty and the wall behind it was dirty and slashed with old coffee. The staff was reasonable with us but I overheard them not being nice to other guests

Cleaning staff were very friendly, timely and competent.
Cleaning staff were very friendly, timely and competent. Towels were very clean and adequate.
Bedspread had large worn hole in it; shower tile had 2 feet of missing grout surrounding tub; ceiling above king bed had 18 inches of crumbling plaster from water damage.
Office staff/franchise owners(?) were very difficult to understand, very unfriendly, skeptical unhelpful unhelpful and incompetent taking credit card info during two check-ins for reasons unknown.

I like the area as far as stores, resturants, AND gas.
I like the area as far as stores, resturants, AND gas. But my room was not that clean. Then Saturday the house keeper man still didn't clean my room. The floors were dirty the micro wave was dirty. TheT.V cord wasn't secure. The toilet seat is briken. This room 324. Wasn't up to part. Roaches roaches. Disgusting.

I live in Decatur, GA, and have for over 43 years.
I live in Decatur, GA, and have for over 43 years. However, downtown Decatur has so much to offer that we tend to overlook because we live here. This was an excellent opportunity to reintroduce our city to my kids. The hotel offered excellent free material for planning all kinds of Decatur excursions. If history is your love like it is ours then this is a perfect getaway, that won't disappoint your hunger.

Close to Atlanta but not within the hustle and bustle.
Close to Atlanta but not within the hustle and bustle. Next to Stone Mountain. Lots of things to do and places to see. Colleges and history are in abundance. MK stature, Major black colleges and Universities and an underground shopping center contribute to the long list of things to do and see.
it seems quite new so is clean and in good condition throughout with good amenities like the laundry, pool and gym. The room was comfortable and reasonably well proportioned with two good sized beds (three pillows each) along with a big tv, fridge, microwave and coffee machine (unlike many places taking these out currently). The staff were helpful and friendly. It is located only 5 minutes walk from Decatur square so is handy for restaurants in the neighbourhood whilst being a quiet location for traffic.
The price was ok and I guess if you are traveling for 1 night is ok for the rate. But beware only the bare necessities are provided. The pictures do not reflect the reality of the property. It's a road motel...not a HOTEL as they advertise.
The staff at this hotel were professional, knowledgeable, and highly attentive to their guest. The hotel was clean, parking was great, breakfast was fresh and presented neatly, the lobby was lively, but not overly noisy.
My bed was extremely comfortable and I slept like a baby after a 12 hour to get there. The location was perfect plenty of places nearby to grab a quick bite to eat. And the breakfast at the hotel was ok as welll
The idea of the setup of the hotel was fine. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive. When one of the doors to the closest fell off, someone was there immediately to try to fix it. But could not.
Second time I have stayed at this Hotel, nice location. Close to restaurant, fast food, and gas stations. Hwy 20 right there so you can get to everywhere.N/A
Location was ideal. Too bad we had to go to another hotel 15 miles away by the airport in the middle of the night because we complained about the bedbugs.
