Convenient location at downtown Easy connection with PDX via MAX Many shops and restaurants within a walking distance Very professional and helpful staff
boutique feel, comfy/spacious room, big bathroom, friendly staff, good location (everything was a 10min walk away, also close to public transit)
housekeeping woke me up even thought the "do not disturb" sign was on the door, VERY expensive parking for Portland,
Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. They worked to make our stay comfortable and relaxing and fun. The rooms were clean and well appointed. We will definitely stay there again.
John at front desk so helpful, Ed the concierge in the evening was very helpful as well as the day time concierge
Great beds and pillows. Nice staff.....very helpful and attentive. Lite rail a block away. Walking distance to many locations. Work out facility small, but has good equipment.
City of Portland garbage pick up seems to be at 5AM in the morning. They have little regard for the hour of the day they manage their dumpsters. We were on the 12th floor. Can only imagine how loud the noise was for those guests closer to the street. Affects residents across from the hotel as well as the hotel.
Manager went out of her way to make our stay special as we were celebrating a significant health-related anniversary with a friend. Entire staff very friendly and helpful. Great location - can walk to lots of things Lovely boutique style hotel
Not a thing.
Helpful bell men. Great location.
This was a reasonable and comfortable hotel -- good location and had all the typical hotel amenities. Nothing more, nothing less.
Overall, it was incredibly bland. Perhaps I expected more personality or effort in a city like Portland. No reason not to stay here, but it seems like the hotel is having a bit of an identity crisis.
Great front desk staff Great location Large room Portland itself. Safe and courteous city
Laundry contractor failed to remove stains despite specific instructions. We removed them ourselves the next evening using a Laundromat. Very disappointed
Loved the location and the whole feeling of the hotel was high-end.
Did not like the $31 charge for valet parking. We thought it was our only option but later discovered a self-park facility just 1/2 block for $9.50 we would have used had we known about it.
Rooms were a bit dusty and it smelled like some mildew. The hallway outside the room was even worse. Looks like the rooms had not been upgraded for 20 years.
Going green using big bottles of shampoo /shower gel, empty fridge in room so you could use it, comfy beds, great views, funky lobby with great front desk staff and ed the bellhop is a fantastic resource of where to go and what to do. This was our second stay and we were even more impressed! We will return - it's like home.
High cost of parking. But just next door is a parkade that is half price!
Fresh hot donuts at the Swank Restaurant Friendly staff Soft comfy sheets
Comfortable, convenient, a bit of old world with a modern twist. Great view. Bed exceedingly comfortable
Can't think of anything
Really nice hotell, nice big and clean room, healpful staff and nicly located in the city center. Close to an italian pasta place that had really good pasta.
Excellent location in downtown Portland. Plenty of cafés and restaurants within walking distance. MAX stations in close proximity.
During my stay (July 2014), construction was ongoing on the lot across Director Park, which caused a fair amount of noise. Guests may want to ask for a room facing SW Salmon St instead.
The hotel is in.a good location. The room was ok, bedding comfortable. The staff was very nice.
Only one elevator worked when we got there. It wasnt too bad, as we checked in early. But when we left, they got the one elevator working only to have the other one go down. With everyone checking out around th e same time, It took over ten minutes to catch an elevator from the 10th floor. Some people opted for the stairs but my mother handicapped with very bad knees, so we waited til we could all.fit into one. We were all.crossing fingers hoping this elevator wouldnt break again, as we were packed in there like sardines and it stopped on every floor on its way down. Rejecting anymore riders. By the time we got to the lobby my mom needed to find the ladies room and she was directed to go down another floor and told the stairs would be faster (She was trying not to use her cane this trip). Lol Anyways, it was easier to go to starbucks around the corner. Two restaurants/bars in the lobby and no restrooms on that level. : (
Excellent restaurant and bar in the hotel. Quiet. Clean, comfortable rooms.
Great location. Large clean rooms.
Valet parking very expensive. Half price to go one block west and self park. Hotel needs to address the sound proofing of the room windows. With windows closed you still hear all the outside noises, i.e., traffic, construction, and people talking. This alone would greatly improve this property.
Location was excellent. Lollipops at the front desk.
No pool. Only provided enough towels in room for two people when there were four of us. Took a while to get additional towels.
The location was excellent and the hotel room was spacious and very clean.
Staff were not particularly welcoming, but were not rude or unpleasant.
the bellman really helped with dinner reservations, directions etc. Nice staff.
couldn't park in garage so had to hump luggage from nearest parking lot.
We have stayed at the Paramount many times; it is our favorite downtown hotel. Terrific location, spendy but in line with the competition.
Parking charge is excessive.
room and location were great
staff working desk in evening and at night were annoying and/or rude. the girl who checked us out was very nice though
The staff was great, the lobby and newly renovated restaurants were cool. The location was the best! It's close to lots of restaurants, shopping, and the Pearl area. I love Portland! I'd say the walls between rooms were pretty sound proof.
Some things in our room were a bit worn, I expected more from a hotel of this caliber. There was mold in the grout in the shower, some dirt and wear on walls and baseboards. Our toilet didn't work well and the tub didn't drain (to be fair I was too lazy to have it remedied) You could hear people in the the halls but there wasn't much of that.
