The main bedroom is setup like a studio; with the kitchenette and small dining table in one open-planned space. Please refer to the images for reference. There are 2 x single beds in the main studio. There will be construction taking place on the building next door from October 2023. We have been informed that the remaining work is all to be done indoors, so noise levels should be low. We have also been informed that no construction will take place over weekends or public holidays. (please note however that we cannot guarantee any of this, as we are not managing the construction on the block next door) - Updated 6 April 2023 *Please note there is secure on-site parking available for 2 cars. LOADSHEDDING This is the term used when power is cut to a specific geographical location of the country in order to reduce pressure on the national electricity grid. South Africa is currently experiencing increased loadshedding and it is likely that all travellers will experience this during their trip. Although this is completely out of our control, we do our best to keep our guests informed of the loadshedding schedule and have provided emergency lights in the listing. But please be aware that all electrical appliances and facilities will be out of order during loadshedding.

With beautiful beaches and lagoons, world-class restaurants and wine farms of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley and general all-round beauty, Hermanus is one of the most vibrant holiday destinations in the country. It is just two hours’ drive from Cape Town via a scenic route through Betty’s and Pringle bays, or the N2 highway. It is also only about an hour from Cape Agulhas (the southernmost tip of Africa). Hermanus is most famous for the southern right whales which visit annually to calve in Walker Bay and one of the best places in the world to view whales from shore. Whale season runs from June to Dec, so if you are coming during this period, be sure to book a whale watching boat trip with us! We recommend guests have their own transport in Hermanus, to make the most of the area and all there is to see and do. Alternatively, we can happily arrange taxis and tours for you if preferred. *We generally don't allow arrivals on Saturdays or Sundays, however, we are happy to consider arrivals on the weekend for extended stays. Please reach out to us if you'd like to check in on the weekend. IMPORTANT NOTICE We have been informed that there will be construction taking place on the building next door from Sep 2023 for 6 months. This apartment is on the opposite side of the building as should not be affected by the noise (however, we can't guarantee). From Oct 2023 noise should be low. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our guests.
