Beautiful, elegant country hotel between Rouen and Vernon (near Paris). Our jr. suite was very well-appointed; our grandson’s double room was very nice (when offered a jr. suite he declined). Both breakfast and dinner were excellent with almost unrivaled ambiance. Kari was very accommodating and helpful in planning visits to nearby castle ruin, churches, villages, etc. This is not an economy setting but it is worth every penny. This is our favorite hotel property in France and we’ve come to France ten times since 1990.
The guest house is like a farm with a garden, even we met a lovely cat in the front door. The first level lobby is a fully equipped kitchen and bedroom is in the upper . Each guest house has a private entrance and a parking location. The farm view is nicely impression with grass and flowers. and we spend late in the next morning. Several minutes driving distance from Etretat Cliff and we can enjoy silence farm view there. The hostess is nicely, she waited to greet us in the first day when we arrived.
Great place to stay, all the staff is so nice and helpfull, the beds are really comfortable. We had late dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious.
I liked the frozen dinner in the fridge & the magnum icecream. Convenient location.
We managed to book this hotel when Giverny was closing for winter. The staff which were young went out of their way to help us. Even though the restaurant was closed for our second night, they still provide dinner for us, as all the restaurants were closed in the town. Plus a very large storm was coming though and we had to get to Vernon and there were no buses so they arranged to take us. It was an exciting stay. Special thanks to Kimi for looking after us!
Ok nice breakfast and dinner. Steak bit tough.
The hotel is situated in a quiet location with easy parking near the entrance. The room was very clean with a nice view of the garden. The hotel has a nice restaurant where we dined on an excellent dinner.
We absolutely loved this B&B! It completely exceeded our expectations of location, peacefulness and attention to detail. The owner, Luciano, was incredibly helpful with everything from calling taxis, making a dinner reservation and giving directions. Our only regret is that we stayed only one night....we would've loved to have stayed a day or two longer, sitting on the patio, taking in the property and enjoying stories from Luciano's incredible life. We can't wait to visit again!
We loved- 1. The view of the Seine from our room 2. Talking to Stephanie and Olivier and their young adult children who help them in the restaurant 3. Eating an amazing meal prepared by Chef Stephanie on the terrace. 4. The overall service and attention of the staff. 5. Very well run inn in an amazing historic structure. 6. The room was comfortable and had fun accents on the pillows of scenes from the Bayeaux Tapestry.
