Great place to visit for a day.
Great place to visit for a day. You don’t need more than 4 hours to see the park. Get there early. The park opens at 8am. Take the city bus, buy your ticket there, bring water & bug spray. Take the train and see the Upper and Lower waterfalls and then head back to the city or airport from the National park. It’s super HOT so get the early to walk around.

The Garganta Del Diablo is under repair due to the flood destruction, and it may take up to 6 months or even longer. The Gran Aventura or the Macuco Safari is a must-do when you are here in the Iguazu park. The Salto Santa Maria in Brazil Iguazu is a place you would never want to miss. Awful because I didn't get to see the falls. Authorities closed them for two days due to weather, but weather fine in town. No real explanation. Many people well miffed after getting there and queueing up for over an hour to be told falls closed. Did see Brazil side and that was great.

This was the MOST unbelievable waterfall I have ever seen and ever will see in my lifetime. The walking decks around the falls are perfect and help us see the true power of nature in this water. Just AMAZING!!!

Highly recommend to ask a staff member where you can possibly swim and go under a mini waterfalls. My friend and I went to an "mini" falls and it was probably the highlight of our trip to the Iguazu Falls. Arrive when the park opens in the morning.
Arrive when the park opens in the morning. On the Argentinian side go straight to the Gargantua (by footpath not train) when the park opens to get the waterfall to yourself for 20 minutes before the train and hoards of people arrive.

It was super clean, the pool was clean and had enough beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast option was wonderful to have, with enough food and drinks to choose from. The location is superb, close to all the lovely restaurants on the main street and, the bus station where you can buy tickets to Iguazu Falls (Argentinian and Brazilian side).

This apartment is a short walk to the bus station which is the ideal way to reach the Iguazu Falls. However, it is far enough from the main street to be quiet and allows a good sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the airconditioning perfect in the bedroom (very important!) Cute little electric shower heater :)
