The location is within the walls of the old city. This means that there are many steps to go up to the hotel. We lobed the idea of being within the walls. The people there were extremely helpful, coming to get us from the taxi with an electric wagon to take our luggage, (to and from the room). They gave us good tips for restaurants and overall made us feel very welcome. The room was nice, without a window with a view, but who cares when you go out of the room early in the morning and come back late at night.

Our room had everything you could possibly need and all in perfect working order. You can lie in bed and watch the sea, or sit on your balcony and do the same. The breakfast was superb, quite a rarity in Italy, even including yummy mini savoury croissants, guacamole and Parmesan you cut directly from the block. All in all, perfect (something I never say in reviews). We’ll be back!

The dining area, patio, and outside seating area have beautiful views of the Gulf of La Spezia. The included breakfasts were extremely good and varied. The hotel is also perfectly located to allow for amazing views and easy walking distance to town, restaurants, and the waterfront.
