Cathy was the best host I’ve had on my trip. She shared stories, and tips for my next days travel. Her home is warm and inviting and has common spaces that make you feel like you have a whole house. The room was small, exactly as I expected because it was exactly as described and as pictured. But it is perfect for a solo traveller, or 2 people who don’t mind being cozy, or are on a budget.

    after a long day driving the peninsula from Portrush, the Tara Hotel was quite welcoming and comfortable. Managed to find street parking right outside. Room was comfortable with a view of the harbour, and breakfast was tasty and fulfilling

    The staff were brilliant, breakfast and dinner unreal, especially Rebecca who gave us a run down of killibegs and family. If staying here again would opt for room 105 with view of harbour and balcony you could walk out on. Had problems with pin number, paying and Teresa was very patient and understanding. Parking on street or in car park above hotel, no charge. Even though storm eunice was forecasted we saw no sign of her during our two days.
