Had a fabulous stay booked at the last minute. Was an absolute pleasure from the warm welcome upon (my slightly late!) arrival. Nothing was too much trouble. And the breakfast was just top notch! Will be back again for sure.

The cottage has a wonderful old vintage feel to it with a modern twist. The surroundings are just beautiful which photos do not do it justice. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend to shut off from the world then this is the perfect place. The host Grace could not have been anymore informative.

We received a most convivial welcome and found the room to be a perfect place to relax. The location is first class and being able to pop down for a pint of decent Guinness added to the charm. The weather was incredible; we hiked for many hours each day, exploring beaches, waterfalls and glorious viewpoints. We slept extremely well.....10 hours each night!

It’s a small town which revolves around the fishing industry with excellent cafes two very good hotels, Bayview and Tara, plus lovely people. Short drives from several magnificent natural sights, cliff walks sea safaris and notable hills to climb.

We might have done a better job at researching what boat or land tours would be available. We had hoped to take a boa trip under Slieve Liege cliffas and maybe a day tour to Gleneveagh National Park or Inishowen. There was a small tourist info building, but it did not open until Monday. The helpful man behind the counter seemed to indicate that once the last cruise ship visit of the season was gone, things quieted down quite a bit. It was rainy and windy most of the time. We did take a local link bus out to Glencolumbkill; weather was damp and windy, but we enjoyed the ride and had a nice lunch at a cafe, and got some business done at the post office. So the stay was a little disappointing, but, as I said, we might have done a little more research before we went. We did meet some great locals waiting for the bus, etc. and had some great chats. Our first 8 days in Ireland, travelling with family who could only stay 7 nights was a smashing success!! We have all visited Ireland several times, at least.

Great base for travelling around. Visited Slieve League, Assaranacha Falls, Mahera beach and caves, the Glengesh Pass, glen columcille, The Rusty Mackerel and The Boathouse in Killybegs, Donegal Town and The smugglers creek in Rossnowlagh . So we covered a lot of ground!!

Killybegs is a fishing town with a beautiful harbour with restaurants offering very tasty fresh fish dishes daily, and lovely bars if you fancy a tipple, the people are so nice and always have time for a chat. Killybegs is not to far from the historical Donegal town and the seaside resort Bundoran and lots of other beaches spread throughout the county, well worth a visit

This is a great little town and its growing. It has an amazing little sea port you can walk about and has a few great pubs with great food and of course, iced cold beers. Very convenient to everything if you are visiting this area of Ireland.

This is the friendliest place in the world. So many amazing places to eat with views that are unforgettable. Strangely there are no bins, not even a dog waste bin. This is the only bad thing I can think of.

The Tara hotel was excellent . Reception was so welcoming and friendly and this set the tone for the stay The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we had a good rest and sleep. The evening meal was excellent and I had the fish of the day . The waiting staff were always attentive. The Breakfast the next morning was filling and nothing was too much trouble for the staff . Finally check out was relaxed and once again the reception staff were so friendly providing us with guides and arrangements if needed . #A great stay

Ideal location for exploring South Donegal. View of the harbour across the road. On the main road into Killybegs but very quiet at night so it's not an issue. Supervalue a few mins walk in one direction, the beautiful fishing port and town of Killybegs a short walk in the other direction (about 10mins). The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. A thoughtful welcome pack of milk, butter, bread, and a few snacks were left for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back!

We booked this property based on its location which was showing it within the the `town limits` of killybegs as we were attending a social event. Unfortunatley the location is incorrect & it is located 2kms from the town in an area that has no footpaths or lighting. The property itself is very comfortable with good bedding which provided a good nights sleep, however, I would not stay here again due to its location only.

Spotless, comfortable and in a perfect central location. Despite being on the main street, it was lovely and quiet at night. A great base for exploring Killybegs, with a warm, welcoming host. I'd happily stay here again.
