Spacious rooms with large windows/French Doors opening onto a balcony in some rooms. Plenty of electrical sockets; very good bedside lighting. Large walk-in shower. Quiet location in the country but not far from shopping. Hamburg’s metropolis only an hour away; historic Lübeck about the same. German-style breakfast buffet with some North-German touches (e.g. herring). I was able to order scrambled eggs each morning. Attached restaurant for meals & events. Very useful for hosting family gatherings, as hotel & restaurant are connected. Separate heating in bath & room makes for comfortable showering.

Built in 1908, this elegant hotel is located just 500 metres from the River Elbe in Geesthacht. The Holsteiner Hof offers free Wi-Fi. It's quite a nice and decent hotel. The owner couple are all very friendly and kind. Everything was very well take care of. Highly recommend this hotel for others.

There was easy car parking, check in was efficient, the room was large and scrupulously clean and breakfast varied and plentiful. The breakfast room and corridors are full of interesting artefacts and add interest to your stay.
