Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandNo cleaning even though it was stated that was included (I stayed for 8 nights). A bit far away from the centre. Room was quite cold in December, I guess there was no heating.
Price was excellent compared to other hotels in Barcelona during the holiday season! Room was quite big and very clean. It was quiet during the night. Safety box and small fridge was a big plus.

UkraineEverything was fine, the only thing was the lack of shampoo, we only had two for two person in 7 days. The staff did not respond to my request for bring more and the lock on the bathroom door did not work properly, take a pin with you if you stay at this hotel to open the door if it is slamed. It would be ideal if there was a kettle in the room.
Very good place for its money, perfect location, heating. Self check-in is very easy and comfortable.

Czech RepublicThe beds and the pillows were extremely hard. We both ended up with back pain. The internet in our room didn’t work good.
We just booked the room and was pretty clean and big enough. Location was good since the metro is pretty close to the hotel.

PolandHotel is generally oldfashioned. Some of equipments were old, broke or raddled.
Hotel stuff is fantastic. They are simply very kind and helpful people. All of our request was realized. Stuff is the most advantage of this hotel. Good location, near to Sagrada Familia, underground station, Gaudi Avenue with bars and restaurants. Comfortable beds.

Latviawater pressure in shower was poor.
Great location, close to Sagrada Familia. Buses and metro really close, could get to all parts of city by walking or taking a metro. Metro line L4 takes you straight to the beach or take a walk downhill ~4km. Nice clean room, nice bathroom, room had fridge and electric kettle. Supermarket and cafeteria's near. Pleasant staff, friendly and always greeted with smile.

United StatesGood location for tourism around the Sagrada Familia and right near metro station for transport. The receptionists weren't the most friendly and weren't usually there anyway. Nevertheless a good deal

RussiaThe only minor issue I noticed was the location of the hotel - it is located on the top of the hill and in the beginning it was very difficult to climb the hill to get to the hotel. This has nothing to do with teh hotel itself or the staff but it can be useful for some people of low-mobility.
I liked the room - it was big and clean with big bathroom. It was very clean and nice to stay in. The location is good - 5-7 min walk from metro station, which makes it easy to get around. A lot of stores and restaurants around.

UkraineThere's literally no staff in the hotel. The receptionist comes at a certain time to check you in and after that there's nobody. You enter the building via code on the keypad. They claim that these are COVID-related measures, but it feels like the hotel is just a passive income for someone. So be prepared: - towels change once in three days - room cleaning, I don't know even when Bonus: - air conditioner is working... as a fan After all, I can't say it's horrible at all. But it's not a hotel experience.
The location is fine, you can reach Sagrada Familia by foot in about 15 minutes walk The city center is about a 30minute walk. But keep in mind that the windows of the hotel are over the quite busy street with a hill, be prepared to traffic sound

United KingdomThere was no privacy. There was no receptionist most of the times when needed. The phone to call the reception wasn’t working neither. The lights in the room weren’t working properly and the minibar was defective, we asked to find a solution, but the solution came hours after we claimed the issue and in the meanwhile my boyfriend managed to fix the problem. One of the few times we saw the receptionist there had been a misunderstanding regarding the city tax. It was the first night, we were going out for a walk he asked us to pay the city tax, we have asked him if we could pay it after our walk as we left our money/cards in the room, he refused because he wasn’t sure he’d be there once we were back, so we told him if we could pay it the day after or leave the cash in the room. Nothing, he treated us as thieves in front of other guests, but after Speaking to the owner we managed to find a solution. The day after me and my boyfriend were depressed because nothing was good in this hotel I was crying and asking my boyfriend to find a solution, as we couldn’t sleep the night because of an Italian couple arguing in the room next door (everyone can hear everything, as I said there was no privacy, the walls are very thin). The receptionist called for us police because he told them that my boyfriend was beating me up! We have tried to explain to him the situation but he wasn’t even listening, so we had to deal with the police. With the claims that he had, my boyfriend could end up arrested! My boyfriend left the hotel because he couldn’t bear with the danger to end up in jail for false accusations so he went to his family. I’ve stayed in the hotel because my money was already gone for it and I couldn’t afford paying for an other one. I have been very ill in that hotel and have received the worse customer service in my life. After my stay there, I’ve been in a hostel where the staying was wonderful compared to this!

LithuaniaThe one thing I want to point out about this is the staff. The owner is super nice and friendly, helps out with any problem you have and is very friendly. The cleaning lady always makes your day and is very sweet. Truly amazing staff. The location is great, very close to the L4 metro. I’ve read a bunch of reviews that claim there’s a steep uphill walk, but the only uphill walk we’ve had was from the Gracia neighbourhood (easily avoidable by taking the metro).
