Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

BulgariaThe room was small and since it was on the last floor, the ceiling was low at 1/5 of the room which made it even smaller. We were able to hear people from other rooms and there is some noise from the heating system when it's working.
The Hotel is near Gare du Nord and a Metro station. We arrived before the check-in time and we were able to leave our bags and go for a walk until the room was ready. We also left them after check-out. The staff was friendly and the rooms were getting cleaned every day.

RomaniaBeds weren’t too comfortable, and the room was rather humid because there wasn’t an electric vent in the bathroom. Bathroom door had zero soundproofing. Rather loud noise in the morning from outside.
Location is great. Near metro with direct connection to Louvre. A lot of restaurants nearby including a great little bakery on the corner. Walking distance to Gare du nord too. Staff was helpful to store our bags before and after check in/out. Warm enough in the winter.

Excellent location close to the Gare du Nord and very close to the Poissonniere Metro station and local restaurants. Single room was comfortable with all amenities. I didn't stay for breakfast but the breakfast room was busy and the choice of items looked good. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again.

United KingdomI was a bit alarmed, arriving back at the Hotel after 1pm, that I could not get access to the Hotel, Earlier the porter told me he would be there but it took him nearly 10 minutes to answer the bell. He seemed to be working in the restaurant next door and serving as night porter which struck me as a strange arrangement. On other nights, I got home earlier and there was no problem,.
The location was good for me close to the Eurostar Terminal - 10 mins walk - with good connections to the Opéra-Bastille, the Opéra Garnier and Théâtre des Champs Elysées, so it suited me well for this trip involving all three theatres.

IrelandThe seals around the shower doors do not keep all of the water inside of the shower so you will easily have a puddle in the middle of the en suite floor if you don't have a towel on the floor to soak it up.
Room 2 on the ground floor was a big enough room by Paris standards and even the en suite had plenty of room. If you are looking at the photos I attached, the bed sheets were tidy when I entered the room. This photo was just after checking around for bed bugs due to recent problems across Paris, which I did not find any trace of during my stay.
