The hotel is very impressive on arrival. The bar area is excellent. The breakfast area was lovely, the staff were really helpful and the food was lovely.

Room was lovely in terms of decor but not great for soundproofing- could hear next door’s shower early in morning and also room above’s/next door’s snoring during night.

Great location easy access to town and also surrounding countryside. Very friendly staff at reception and In restaurant- Mel couldn’t have been more helpful at breakfast.

Be aware if walking to town, walking back could be hard going for less mobile as its a steep hill up to the hotel. Breakfast system very awkward and disorganised and difficult for the staff to manage I expect. Food however, when you get it, was lovely.

Nice room, beautiful building, great location for accessing the town. Easy walking into town, maybe harder walking back! Fabulous town centre though. Lovely and helpful staff.

I think to charge extra for a cappuccino at breakfast is totaly inacceptable. This is absolutely not international standard, but a very provincial and local approach that I find really annoying.

The plumbing in our first room was a little bit noisy. The hotel very kindly moved us to another room.

The only thing we didn't like was there was no lift up to the 2nd floor where our room was but the staff were happy to help with bags.

No information in the room about accessing room service. Two types of coffee pods but no idea what they were. No instructions. Breakfast orange juice had black bits in it.

Had a free upgrade to the Delamere suite. Really lovely. Great freestanding bath. Blackout curtains were good. Huge shower. Comfy bed. Nice pancakes for breakfast. Good service.

The room was great, my only complaint was that the bed was too hard!

Great hotel. The staff were very helpful and kind. I was just there for a very brief overnight stay to visit my mum in hospital and I had to get up early on Sunday to catch a train. They let me have breakfast early at 7.30 even though it didn’t start til 8, and they only charged me for tea and cereal.

The only downside was the size of the bedroom. I stayed in a Boutique Double Room and it was tiny…. Way smaller than my bedroom at home. I was quite surprised.

The property was beautifully decorated, very luxurious. The staff were lovely and all extremely helpful.

bar shuts quite early and they finish serving bar snacks (burgers etc) at 8pm - did feel like I was putting the staff out a bit by ordering just before 8pm but the food was good when it arrived

room is lovely and spacious, the bathroom and shower are fabulous - good water pressure!

There is limited wardrobe hanging space - I would be happy to just request an iron and board if required rather than having this take up space in the wardrobe.

The staff were all very welcoming, polite, helpful and friendly. The rooms are well designed and well coordinated decor. The cooked breakfast was excellent. Very comfortable bed.
