Not that I didn't like it but I would suggest putting some chairs in the room,we had an amazing view of Arthur's Seat and it would be nice to sit by the window with a coffee in the morning

It was a quiet neighborhood, short bus ride (although we walked everywhere) to the Royal Mile.bed was very comfortable and it was super clean!

Because this is a guesthouse, I understand no lift available you need to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. You cannot see a staff to ask around. When I tried to talk to the staff using the call outside of the front door upon check in, she hardly don't understand what I said. The communication is very difficult. I tried to message in this app but no response at all regarding my complaint in the shower control that it was broken and hard to turn it off. No shampoo available in the bathroom.

Easy access to city centre just a bus away. Comfy bed and clean toilet/shower. No window room but it is fine, have own hair blower and can borrow the clothes iron/rack that was hang around the hallway.

I didn't like the shower. The water was poorly floating (really difficult to shampoo) and it was too hot or too cold, not easy to find a half way.

I really liked the cleaning of the room, everything was comfortable, it was a little cold at the beginning but we soon understood how to make the heating work and it was great. The room was big and with every comfort inside, the TV, different ways of lighting it up, big and comfortable bed.

Would have liked a plug, so I could have had a bath.

Quiet and comfortable. Ideal distance from Edinburgh Central. Welcoming, clean and convenient. Nice hot shower. I slept very well, due to quiet, peaceful environment. Don't usually sleep easily away from home.

I do however think that the management of this hotel would do well to spend a couple of nights in each of the rooms; during that time they would figure out a few things that would improve the guest experience! Firstly, the room needs coat hooks! Edinburgh is cold, wet and windy so guests will generally have at least one, perhaps several coats. These need to hang up, especially when they are wet. There are no coat hooks to do this on, so I was left to precariously drape my rain jacket over the armchair thing, which meant I couldn't sit on it when the rain jacket was wet. It isn't enough to suggest we put them on the clothes hanger thing, because there weren't enough coat hangers and they wouldn't dry there anyway. Secondly, I was baffled by the lack of a "do not disturb" sign for the door. I was sometimes out late with my colleagues and wanted a lie-in the following day. Or I was out early, before the cleaning service started in the hotel. The cleaning service would call every day before ten in the morning, and I had no way of signalling that I didn't want them to clean my room / wake me up. I tried asking them, but wasn't able to properly communicate what it was that I wanted. Perhaps I just couldn't find the sign? Thirdly, there's a prominent sign above the bedside drawers saying that the hotel is not responsible for property left in the room in excess of £50, even when the room is locked. This is ridiculous for a hotel that aims to support modern holidaymakers or business travelers. What was I supposed to do when I went out in the evening for dinner? Take my suit

I stayed here while attending an academic conference at the Pollock estate (the hotel is well situated for this!). I stayed in room 5 and have some feedback about it. In general the room was good, and I enjoyed not having to faff with check-in & check-out etc. The autonomy is cool and the room and furniture were generally as I expected given the photos on the website and the price-point of the hotel.

Water pressure for taking baths was a little bit low. There is a stain on a bedsheet that I didn't like.

Location, price. There are some free parking lots nearby in upper street. Also I should mention that our bed was so comfortable and massive.

We had a queen suite which was great and fitted all three of us into the room nicely, with lots of room additionally.

Free parking spaces on the drive were great! We managed to get parked everyday, really good for us as we were travelling with a baby so easier for access purposes!
