The breakfasts were a little boring. I should have enjoyed more fruit

We were given a room with a connecting door which was not fully insulated. The neighbours were not that noisy but woke us up so we asked to be moved, which the manager got onto straight away. There were hairs in both bathrooms left after cleaning and that should not be an issue in the bathroom in particular.

The management was very responsive and sorted out our issue with the first room we were given by moving us to another room. They sorted that out in a very appropriate way.

Quite far away to get outside, evening meal was lovely with an added gesture to say happy anniversary only issue is from start to finish we were served by 6 different people so no chance of rapport etc also selve serve machines for tea and coffee for breakfast would be a great shout

We got married there it is a beautiful hotel the room was big and comfy and clean, dinner and breakfasy was lovely grounds are as beautiful as ever.

Service was below par. This hotel claims to be 4-star but falls a long way short of standards for that. Rooms are comfortable, but small and dark, with furnishings that are beginning to look old. Buffet breakfast was basic with in-attentive staff. Cutlery / crockery / table setting are cafe standards.

The lighting in the room was a bit dingy. Apart from the light at the entrance there were just 2 subdued lights by the bed and a desk lamp. There’s no lighting by the window which means that once the curtains were drawn the table and chair couldn’t be used for reading or writing

The location is perfect. The grounds are beautiful, especially the lakes. The breakfast and service were great. We will definitely stay here again

Being woken up from 6am on Sunday by doors being closed loudly. Next time I will request a room at the end of the corridor.

Lovely friendly staff very helpful. The spa is a sensory sensation so much choice. Food was really delicious. Grounds were beautiful. Lots of sports options. Elegant venue with lots of room to relax.

Last time we stayed robes were in the room but this time we had to rent for £5. No veggie alternatives at hot buffet. Rooms are basic for what you pay.

Breakfast service is nice and staff are friendly. The spa is lovely, so many options and spacious.

Decor a little tired. No kettle in the room. Pool wasn’t available. Spa not accessible for guests after 5pm (no prior communication either)

Absolutely no seats/benches when walking the grounds and lake. My wife can only walk and stand for a few minutes and has to stop. We could not enjoy the outside! Afternoon tea coffee and cake would have been nice!! The arear we had to sit in for coffee was absolutely awful, full of boring loud men talking dribble, that we didn't want to hear....You should open up the Old Lodge, for the non golfers, for coffee and cake and the lake to walk around.

the reception staff were not very welcoming and didn't ask if we had had a good stay when we left. We needed a bedside light but the member of staff who brought one made it sound like a weird request! There was no central light above the bed so we really needed a bedside light each.
