The upkeep of the hotel leaves much to be desired, especially for such a historic location. The Room was also very plain and old fashioned. There is a horrible noise in the corridor of a furnace or something that was shaking the walls. The Food at the pub was really bad even for a chain pub

Fantastic location in beautiful Port sunlight Village. The building is very beautiful

Shower was not great, although the water was nice and hot, the flow was poor. Room was a bit tired, bathroom door stuck. Left the door sign out for the room to be cleaned, but all this entailed was a replacement of cups and the beds tidied. Room really needed to be vacuumed.

Great value breakfast with very helpful cheery staff. Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay. 10/10 Room was nice and warm.

Both nights sleep were affected due to what sounded like an extractor fan starting and stopping continuously. I think this may have been outside our room (Room 4) under our window (car park). Not sure if this was something that could have been switched off or whether it has to stay on continuously. Shame, as it was otherwise very quiet.

Enjoyed Sat eve dinner and Sunday roast.

Delightful historic building in the Port Sunlight model village. The inn is one of Greene Kings and the food is standard fare for these inns. The decor and layout of the public rooms is quaint and in keeping with its history - lots of photographs detailing events of the past. The room was clean, the beds comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. Ensuite was good sized, but the shower over the bath could have been more efficient. Several of the rooms were being refurbished, we were told, and I'm sure this will improve a future stay. Breakfast was good with a range of choices.
