Room is little bit small for us .

Customer service is superb..location is also unbeatable. Quiet but near tower bridge and tower of london... Staff were very accommodating and generous to our request.

Nothing much, but if i must be really picky, then the walls are a little too thin pehaps. That said, it didn't bother me or my friend, as we are both heavy sleepers.

Room was very small and walls were thin. One of the outlets did not work, but there were three in the room.

The room was very clean. Bathroom was very nice as well as clean, and towels were very good. Staff were very friendly and kind. Appreciated greatly, too, the complimentary water bottles.

Room was quite cold with no obvious method of heating. Room 120. My son's room, 111, was very warm. Could have done with some additional bedclothes as weather at time of stay was very cold .

The Only thing that would make this review a 10/10 would be Free Parking

As soon as we walked through the front door we were met with a warm welcome from the staff and offered a selection of drinks and treat's. Check-in was effortless and we went to our twin room (114). The room was clean, warm and well equipped with a Fridge, Kettle, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, Freeview TV and Free WiFi. Complimentary Tea/Coffee, Biscuits, Fresh fruit and bottled water. The Ensuite was clean and the shower hot with good water pressure. I cannot praise the staff highly enough and will definitely be staying here again. You will not find better at this price point, especially central London. Thank you City London Hotel, we look forward to staying with you again soon.

The small table in each room for the kettle, cups, fruit etc really could stand to be larger. The table isn't large enough for me to put any of my own things. It's not a terrible problem, but it's one thing that could be easily improved.

I feel safe staying here, traveling alone. I've stayed in 3 different rooms over the past year and they've all been comfortable. I especially appreciate friendly, helpful staff with the front desk open 24/7.

The room was cold and the heating was turned off when we arrived. We realised later on but then it switched itself off again for the night but the room hadn’t warmed up.

Great location handy for tube and buses. Very friendly and welcoming staff - they even gave us a double bed instead of two singles. The breakfast was decent.

The only thing that I didn't like were the small windows at the top of the wall that let in the light as they didn't have any curtains.

The room was in the basement with a shared Toilet and Shower room. Key Fob locking system. Nice and comfortable double bed. Towels provided. TV, tea and coffee making facilities, tiled floor. A nice breakfast was available for a separate price, 'full English Breakfast' with turkey rashers instead of bacon, a weird sausage and two runny fried eggs. Tea or Coffee was provided together fresh fruit juices, or a continental breakfast. It was a last minute choice due to not being able to get into my previous choice of accommodation, but I should have made it my first choice. Nice and handy location for a return visit.

As a budget-friendly hotel, you can’t really fault this place. It’s not fancy but it costs less than half what other hotels in the area cost. Our room was clean and comfy. The shower was hot and had decent water pressure. The staff on the front desk were so friendly and welcoming every time we saw them, and gave us free fruit and water and a red rose on arrival. They made our stay feel special.

Sadly the rooms are in need of a bit of renovation. Clean enough but problems with a couple of items. Safe didn’t work, the windows were a bit dirty with what appeared to be some food debris and the hairdryer whilst it worked was not near a mirror or desk. These are only minor things and I am sure if we pointed these out the staff would have been more than accommodating. Don’t let it put you off.

The fabulous, welcoming and generous staff made our stay. Although this is definitely not, or even pretends to be a luxury place the staff are unfailingly polite and very helpful. Thank you all. Breakfast was excellent and the location and quirkiness of the hotel made it for us.
