Lovely ground floor room with step free access from outside and small ramp down into room. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner excellent. Surroundings beautiful and very quiet.

The mattress on our bed was not very comfortable and an option for stronger coffee would have been good as the coffee served was nice just not strong enough for my taste

A lovely hotel in a lovely location for exploring north Yorkshire. Very friendly and helpful staff and excellent service and we were made to feel really welcome. The food was definitely 5 stars with good efficient and friendly service. The room was lovely and cozy and well stocked with complimentary's. The lounge area was lovely as was the bar and the restaurant.

Leaving. Can't wait to come back in a couple of months, it's our favourite place to unwind and relax.

We loved EVERYTHING as we always do. The genuine friendliness and 5 star professionalism of the staff. The attention to detail, including atmospheric candles and lit fire. The attentiveness to our needs in the lounge and other areas of the house. The delicious food and of course, deserts, in the restaurant. The surprise room upgrade was a very kind and appreciated gesture.

To be honest there wasn’t a lot I could fault.

The location of Burythorpe House is great, right in the middle of the countryside makes for idyllic views. The lady who welcomed me was so warm and friendly and was so attentive all evening bringing drinks and ensuring my stay was as comfortable as it could be. The room was very big, great amenities and the roll top bath was so deep that I could have stayed in there for hours.

Really don't want to be critical at all however the pillows were not good. Everything else was first class but with the pillows being so flat, it made it an uncomfortable sleep for us. We had asked for another so had 3 each in total and they were still flat. Know pillows are a personal thing, but they just seemed to let an otherwise outstanding stay down a little. Not put us off at all....just for info. We'll bring our own next time.

Staff excellent, really friendly and helpful. Food first class, well presented and cooked. Great location. Beautiful building and well maintained. Superb period property. I am a decorator and the decoration ie wallpapering and finish was top notch. Would definitely visit again!

The room was clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. We came back to stay there again. The decor is very nice.

The evening meal menu didn't have many options to choose from (though this may change as it is early in the year)

The room was lovely and the views from the windows were fabulous, the staff were really friendly and helpful, and there was a good choice at breakfast. A very relaxing 'get-a-way'.

We loved everything about this property Helpful staff, lovely room, lovely breakfast, the whole atmosphere in the bar and seating area downstairs was so relaxing and welcoming with the fire roaring it was lovely and warm and the saxophone player was a lovely touch too

I would have liked to see a draught Yorkshire bitter such as John Smith's on offer.

The breakfast was delicious and cooked beautifully.It was served promptly and was piping hot. The choice was excellent.

A little more rural than we would have liked, however was peaceful and lovely if you want to get away from it all.

Beautiful building and kept in great order. Plenty of parking onsite. Room was generous in size and bathroom was clean and luxurious. We have a fabulous breakfast with lots of choice, evening meal was also top quality.
