I booked the hotel as it had a pool. upon arrival at 6pm i was told pool was open to 9pm. i caught up on some work and had dinner and at 7.30pm went to use the pool and was told it was closed for a private booking. This was extremely disappointing.

The food was fantastic breakfast and dinner and the staff were very friendly. Room was cosy and clean.

Coffee at breakfast was quite weak.

Excellent stay from the moment I arrived to be checked in. Room was fabulous very clean and comfortable bed. Evening meal was lovely excellent value almost too big a portion. Breakfast there was so much choice and breakfast staff were lovely very attentive.

We chose a deluxe double room and the only difference between that and a standard double room was the bed was bigger and due to that it cost be an extra £30 per night not really deluxe

The hotel was really excellent the amenities and rooms were also good the staff were very friendly and the food was amazing will stay again

Was lovely to have the pool but it was a bit of a pain having to bring your room towels and then ask for more as the pool didn't have shampoo or bady wahs so you had to go back to your room to shower. Also the floor is very very wet and slippy

Breakfast was made to order, good selection of fruit and cereal. Amazing Messy potato skins which was a starter but we ate as a meal. Great serving sizes. Best photos to skins we have ever had.

Getting a note at door regarding noise. We were travelling with 5 yo and 1yo. 1yo cries especially getting used to a new room to settle in. We are mindful already re noise but some things are out of our control

It is a bit out of town, but easy to get to.

Excellent place to stay. Large quiet comfortable rooms. Parking. The real gem is the quality of the staff, ranging from reception through to the restaurant. The food for dinner and for breakfast was done brilliantly, enough to recommend it as a dining venue. Combining this with a comfortable standard of accommodation and a very competitive pricing, I was most impressed by this hotel. Strong recommendation.

Pool only opened at 5pm.. would loved it to be open early as we never got our dinner until nearly 8pm, eith kids it was a little late...

Our 3rd time staying here... we brought our 2 kids this time... We all really enjoyed our stay

In room hairdryer is of the travel variety. If you need a decent hairdryer, maybe bring your own. But I'm sure they could accommodate if you asked at reception.

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Not far from places of interest if travelling by car. Entertainment for residents on Friday and Saturday nights 9pm - 11pm. Entertainment was not loud, so didnt impinge on our stay. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and a range of beauty/massage treatments available. Good variety at breakfast. Restaurant had a good menu also. Tea/coffee/kettle in room. Hotel set back from main road so very little road noise. Pleasant grounds, ample parking. Friendly, approachable staff. Would recommend.

The pool was quite small and unfortunately there is only a early slot in the morning for people to use the spa area if staying.

Reception were very kind in upgrading our room on arrival as we were celebrating our anniversary and fitted a booking in last minute for a meal. The room was very comfortable, with a TV, hot drinks tray and a sitting area. The spa area was clean and we got to enjoy a short while to chill before breakfast, a good variety of items to pick from for your breakfast which was included in our stay.

Bed linen could do with being replaced and the towels were tiny and in short supply

Could do with larger towels and a few more in the bathroom. Towels for showering are slightly bigger than hand towel size. Our bedroom was beside the spa which the door slammed shut and could be heard early morning

Modern look, very clean, fantastic spa and thermal area, bedrooms are very dark once the curtains are closed, very comfy bed and pillows

On Sunday when we arrived we ordered a coffee and a tea but there were no biscuits to accompany the cuppas we were happy to purchase a biscuit but nothing was available disappointed that there was no spaces left for carvery we had not booked and were not made aware we had to maybe they should tell us a bit more about meals etc when booking otherwise we really enjoyed our stay Breakfast was amazing we will go back one day
