Friendly and peaceful. We loved being the only guests in the whole hotel on our first night. Great breakfast selection and personal service from Claire was fantastic.loved the Xmas decorations in reception. Super comfy bed - all you could want.

Breakfast was OK, staff failed to point out the location of the cereals, bacon was barely cooked. Breakfast layout could therefore, be improved.

Family room may have been a bit too tight for our number, sofa bed made it difficult to move around the room. The hotel has a retro style which is probably not so negative.

A very pleasant experience, food is nice, helpful staff, room is comfy and clean. Bar is open till late with a gig going on adding a nice vibe to the place. Location is at a reasonable distance from city centre, tram station right across with 10 min commute. Would definitely stay there again.

Sofa bed when out was a bit cramped in room but hardly I'm room so not an issue

There was a noisy fan/extractor outside bedroom window which would switch off and on through the night.

Ruby on Reception was so lovely! She was welcoming and had a big smile! The Carousel is good value for money!

The staff was all friendly, warm welcome. Location, was great just out of the centre, tram stop across the road. Free parking outside the hotel or in hotel carpark. Breakfast was excellent. Alittle gem of a hotel a great find.

Convenient location, easy access for the tram but nice and quiet being a bit further away from main attractions. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Room was clean and contained all we needed to be comfortable on our one night stay. Great breakfast too!

The room was more spacious than i thought it would be and the breakfast was excellent. Also the ease of getting back in hotel on Saturday night as some hotels lock doors

The room was dark and window had film on it so you couldnt see out in court yard not that there was much yo see and no plug sockets next to bed to charge phone up

The furniture is a bit dated and the shower is tiny. If you are a bigger person you would struggle. The alcohol and evening meal menu was expensive but the food was lovely

The family room was spacious. The breakfast was lovely, hot and plentiful. The entertainment was good especially Wayne who was very entertaining. We didn’t have to be out of our rooms until 11am and we could leave our cases in the reception until we collected them. The rooms were lovely and clean.

We were on floor 2 so walked through the restaurant to get to the stairs & the stairs carpet looked dirty & worn then the next set of stairs had a really funny damp smell & the wall at the top of the stairs was all marked, our bedroom was a good size room but the pull down blinds were all black mould on bits & that smell from the stairs & lobby we could smell in the bedroom, hopefully the managers will fix some of those things caus the staff are lovely & food really good, hotel defo needs some TLC

The staff was lovely from the bar staff to servers to reception to the managers & the food was really good we eat there every evening caus it was so good, having entertainment in the hotel was great as well caus we could have a drink & watch the entertainment. Didn’t need to go anywhere in the evening & that was great caus it’s raining most evenings just now
