Dining room felt cold in the morning ! When the breakfast staff member heard us saying we were cold , she turned the heating up right away !

All of the food was lovely , there were 17 of us for dinner celebrating my husband's 70th Birthday ! All restaurant staff were brilliant ! Ourselves and Gavins sister and hubby stayed the night ! We were in the refurbished rooms which were comfy although a few items would've made the rooms perfect ! Those items I suggest are , non- slip mat for shower, shelf above sink for toiletries and full length mirror on bedroom wall , as Wedding guests or party guests can check there outfits are perfect , or to put on make up and style hair !( can't style hair in bathroom) we would stay at Castlecary again ! All staff are very welcoming and professional!

Limited menu in the evening. Might be an idea to change the menu every few months or add more than one special to the board.

Allocated same room as previous stay. Room is spacious & very clean. Ensuite facilities good but a little dated. Nice quiet room overlooking main street. Dined in restaurant in evening. Staff are so friendly & helpful. Food delicious with good portion size. Menu limited. Hotel was particularly busy with the arrival of a coach full of tourists which is always a good sign & a funeral in one of the suites.

Have a coffee machine in the room. I don't like instant coffee and it was the same coffee at breakfast. Also couldn't take the dog so husband had to stay at home.

The bed was so comfy. Everyone in the party said the same. Breakfast was excellent

The TV remote was a bit strange but we figured it out in the end,

we have stayed there before and we were pleased to see it was still the same, clean comfortable room, friendly helpful staff and a very good breakfast, the hotel is in a nice quiet area and not too far away from main shopping centre. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again.

We have stayed here a few times bit this time we noticed how it wasn't up to its normal standard. Ripped duvet cover ,tired paintwork, carpet dirty. Just little things

Pleasant staff. Convenient location. Ok breakfast - tasty a la carte and some extras, such as fruit and sweets. Bar and restaurant available. Parking in front. Great shower with good pressure. No separate water taps.

Worn decor. Tired bathroom and windows

Lovely clean basic room. Decor a little worn. Very quiet. Bathroom and windows could do with upgrades. Bar and restaurant area smart and modern. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast. Plan to return and try out restaurant. Would definitely return and recommend.

The toilet window would not shut. Shutter on the font door was not adequate for its purpose. The door was difficult to lock.

Apart from the "cold reception" in the cottage, which was remedied very quickly, there was nothing to unlike!

We were, originally, in a cottage. However, the heating wasn't working, and the room was extremely cold. On letting reception know, the receptionist very quickly offered us a room in the hotel itself without any further charge. We were delighted to accept as it was a lovely room, but better than that, it was warm!! The staff in the restaurant/ bar were also lovely, friendly and helpful. The meals we had were cooked quickly, very fresh and hot..delicious!

Kids meals were slightly more expensive than other places.

Fantastic value for money and large spacious rooms. We were traveling as a family and being able to have adjoining rooms was a game changer for a family.

We were in one of the annexes. Soundproofing between rooms was poor.

Only little down side the window was left open slightly when we arrived and was very cold in the room. But once we got into bed with a cuppa it was fine.

Lovely clean tidy little stop over, comfortable bed.
