Breakfast bit all over the place, No instructions on how to use anything. Bed was like sleeping on a rock but the room itself was cozy and warm.

Location and staff cannot be faulted.

Very dated, all plug socket’s loose, tv temperamental, shower leaked out the box and didn’t drain well. Would have liked a kettle in the room for convenience.

Great location for NEC visitors. Spacious room and good kitchen area downstairs. Very grateful for it being dog friendly.

Room was very dirty apart from the bed. There was a very strong smell from the toilet which was unpleasant. We sprayed the room and toilet with perfume but it only took the edge off the smell. The liggt in the toilet was was very low light not bright enough. There was ann empty used takeaway carton in the wardrobe. We had to wash the shower out before use as it was dirty. The tv and plug looks like it has not been cleaned. Windows were dirty. Under the bed had not been cleaned as there were wrappers and dirt left there. No tea or coffe in room had to go to kitchen. Breakfast available was toast, cereals, and egg's boiled but you had to boil them in a machine with no instructions. Orange juice. Tea and coffee. Milk is longlife carton no fresh milk. The whole place could do with a lick of paint. If it had this and a bit of a makeover it would be ideal oh and more for breakfast. Overall for £98 it's not somewhere I would go back to.

Very friendly and helpful staff.. The location was good for where we needed but sat nav will not take you there.

Smell of incense in lobby was overbearing. We went to put milk in the main fridge but the open yogurt in the with fur all over it put us off. For this we refrained from breakfast as well.

There was a build up of dust on top of the headboard which looks like it had been there a while. A few biggish cobwebs in corner of room which could be cleaned in a few seconds. The next morning I made a coffee in the breakfast room and added lumps of coagulated milk into it. Milk was clearly off but left in the fridge. There was another carton of long life milk with which I made cereal.

The price was very reasonable for what we wanted. The owner/manager was friendly and welcoming. The bed sheets were crisp and clean. The ensuite was clean and functional. The room was warm. TV worked fine.

Very tired property, needs a lick of paint in the room and some decent heating - it was freezing and smelt damp. Very noisy - little sound proofing between rooms, my door banged every time someone else opened a door (not sure it was a fire door) and cars racing near the property at night.

Breakfast was a good choice of food and they went out of their way to cater for me being gluten free.

The cabin felt damp and woke up with blocked sinuses etc. There is a heater in there that maybe we should have kept on low overnight to prevent the damp building up. Guidance on that would've been appreciated.

Owner/staff greeted me really nicely. Very warm and quickly showed me around the hotel. Did seem like he was in a rush but I think overall was more so just respectful of my time.

The room was in dying need of dusting, hoovering and re-decorating. There were big clumps of dust on the floor boards that were getting stuck to my socks, was really disgusting. There was something wrong with the toilet, it flushes but the water flow wouldn't stop. So, it sounds like the toilet never stopped flushing. Had to put ear plugs in over night otherwise it would have kept me awake. We didn't risk taking a shower, as the shower room smelt damp and was a bit dark and dingy. If the room wasn't clean, I doubt the shower would be any good.

I liked staying in a garden hut, it felt private and cosy. The common kitchen area was ok but there was a lot of dirty dishes left on a trolley attracting flys. The area the place was in, felt safe. There was a good choice of basic continental breakfasts and dietary was considered (they supplied different kinds of milk).

    The Charde

Went down for breakfast, no tea, coffee or sugar. No cooked alternative. No staff around and despite waiting 15 minutes after ringing the service bell, no one came. Place needs renovating to justify the asking price. Room very basic and lacking in simple accessories. Place not recommended until Improvements made.
