I had invited two elderly guests for Sunday lunch. One had chicken, no problem. Two of us had roast beef which was poor bordering on being so tough it was inedible. I don't like bothering young staff with something beyond their control and only mentioned it in passing and was thanked for "my feedback". I will use the hotel again but not sure I will eat there although breakfast could not be faulted.

The hotel was perfect and staff exceptional, pleasant and good service.

The hotel is on an A road next to a roundabout. The traffic noise goes all night long. If the room had been cool we could have kept the double glazed windows closed to keep out the noise however it was a warm night. Two words - air conditioning. There was also no fridge in the room.

Great room. Very modern. Nice shower. Easy walk into a lovely town. Nice breakfast included

Bed was very soft so not a good night sleep for me. Unfortunately the hotel is near a roundabout so views are not great but I knew this when booking and due to the age of the hotel, it was something that couldn’t be helped.

Excellent service given by staff. Food was exceptional. Room was very clean and well resourced - great shower. Fresh milk provided for tea and coffee 👍

A bit long time waiting for dinner as dining room was full. Bit noisy above you if you stay floor 1 but that is understandable given the construction.

Loved the decoration of both bedroom and toilet, nicely done. Great amenities (coffee, tea, radio, smart tv, shampoo, hand cream, good towels, good mattress)!

The mattress was uncomfortable and we were in the courtyard with dogs in rooms adjacent who barked. We should have been informed so we could request to be away from them. Likewise had to put up with 2 small dogs yapping at the table during breakfast

Very tasteful decor. Lovely extras such as Bramley products and lovely tea tray choices. Good choice of beers

The room isolation was quite poor, so we heard your neighbour walking on the floor above. The window in the bathroom can’t fully closed, so it was quite cold due to this. However the bathroom itself well equipped with modern and good stuff.

Cozy, comfortable easy to find location with parking and friendly team

The wardrobe was very small and the hangers did not really fit the width of the furniture. We had luggage for 2 weeks and it was quite a challenge to fit the suitcases plus our clothes in the room. Maybe shelves instead of hangers and no pressing board are a better option.

Cozy rooms, great bed and bathroom. Tasteful decoration. Restaurant and pub are highly recommendable. Comfortable parking. Main street with shops close by.

Sadly, the dining room was not open on the evening of our stay, but understandable this late in the season.

Breakfast superb. Room compact but immaculately clean and well-appointed. Old coaching house with great charm and atmosphere, good food and excellent location to explore the town.

The room was very well appointed and, very clean. The bed quite hard - twins zipped together and the seams of the beds were solid so there was a 'bar' down the centre. that said, it was relatively comfortable. I left at 6.45 a.m it was very dark and I was unsure of my whereabouts until I saw the exit.

Approachability and friendliness of staff, ease of booking and, reception. The meal was of very good quality and, good atmosphere.

I have stayed here before and, on the whole, the staff are very pleasant and friendly. However, I think you need to have a bit of refresh training to remind staff to acknowledge the guest the moment they are in front of them, and to not ignore them! Basic manners.

This is a lovely hotel since it's refurbishment. Alot of thought has gone into the decor and it has a vintage look but authentic with it. Rooms are very comfortable and stylish and both bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The food was really good - evening meal and breakfast were both of a very high standard.
