The tiled floors, not my choice but for a place that sees a lot of traffic, probably better than carpet.

The hotel location was excellent, the room had everything we needed, the beds were comfy and clean, the fixtures and fittings were worn and used, but usable, and the staff were friendly.

The room was a bit small. It was a good luck that someone was there from the staff when we arrived, as we supposed to get the key from a locker which did not worked…

Amazing location, it was a perfect choice for 2 nights.

No lift and quite narrow steps.

Only a few minutes walk from Russell Square Station. Plenty of shops and food places in close proximity. Comfy bed, good shower, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge,ironing board and iron and hairdryer.

My partner found it too noisy so didn't sleep well whereas I slept like a log. It was noisy when other guests came in late so maybe a carpet stair runner would help reduce the noise. We were on the 3rd (top) floor which though not terrible it was about one floor more than I'd have liked but I suspected it would be due to the price.

Comfortable bed, clean, good price for central London. Close to Hospital. Window could be opened (I have to have an open window). The chap running reception was very friendly, polite and helpful.

The first interaction was a bit rude. It was my fault that I didn’t read the entirety of the confirmation email that gave directions on how to enter the building with codes and lock keys. I assumed that being there during check in would mean meeting with a front desk person (like most hotels). But when I knocked, the person answered and then lectured me on the importance of checking emails like they didn’t want to be bothered.

A lot of noise after 10pm from the street/shop below and noise travelled very easily within the building (we could hear other guests quite loudly). I would definitely suggest ear plugs. The shower was very cool (even on the highest setting) by the second use.

There are moments when the room is too noisy because of the delivery services to the convenience store next door.

The location is very good and the price is good. Also the hotel is very clean and the receptionist was very helpful. Very comfortable bed. That said, the room could do with some sound proofing on the windows, particularly because of the convenience store next door.

Came at 8am to drop off a suitcase - they weren't geared up for this at all but to be fair to them someone answered the phone and arranged for it to be taken in and it was in my room later at check in.

We had a bit of bother on arrival. Our key card was not in the safe box as expected. It made me panic a bit initially because I had my little boy with me and it was dark. I phoned the number and it was all sorted promptly (apologies to the man I spoke with for my initial panic!!) We had a great day in spite of this and will definitely stay at the property again.
