Helpful staff, great location, big rooms

The bed was hard so a little uncomfortable to sleep. There was some sort of event on the first night I stayed and loud music meant I couldn’t sleep - when I called the front desk to ask at what time the part would be over they said at midnight. They also said they would contact the event organisers to see if the music could be turned down. In the end the music seemed to get louder not quieter so I ended up having to put on headphones. The second night was quiet. The hot drinks at breakfast weren’t very good I tried coffee from their pots, coffee from their machine and their tea but all tasted insipid. The food at breakfast was really good and there was a good selection.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was nicely appointed. The food at breakfast was really good and there was a good selection. The view was excellent. The electric bar also has a lovely view and a good ambiance.

The glass shower door in bathroom was missing rubber seam at the bottom so every time you got a shower the floor was soaked as the shower head span to one side when on so the water just ran out straight onto the floor very dangerous as a health and safety risk would of been more appropriate to put a rubber seal on bottom of the glass shower door and also to provide a suitable mat for bathroom floor instead of having to use a small hand towel to step onto. I would say the price is very high for a room and what you get no extra tea/coffee condiments when staying for 2 nights either I’d expect this as a given and to already be available in the room.

The parking.. we spent about an hour looking for parking in Lincoln and then walking to the hotel. The nearest multi story was closed for two weeks. It would have been nice to have been notified in advance as the hotel car park is tiny . Room a little dark

Well maintained, modern and perfect location for the engine shed. The staff couldn’t have been any better. Breakfast was lovely.

My only concern was that you could not control the thermostat in the room, but even when you contacted reception for them to raise the temperature, the temp wasn't correct in the room, ie :- 22° was actually 19.5°

Could drive in to the car park. Road on front flooded and after discussions with staff, they kindly let me in through the exit. Staff really helpful and supportive.

Breakfast was very good and by booking the night before at reception, got a great price. Marvellous views of the city whilst eating breakfast really charged us up as to “what to expect”.

It was a little dark and we were woken by a strange, alarm like noise, that lasted about an hour. It did disturb our sleep somewhat.

Stacy was unbelievably welcoming and professional… Josh the Bar Manager was the same he even remembered myself and colleague from last year… and Natalia in the bar was super efficient and friendly!!

A mirror over the dressing table would be useful for doing hair/make up. Lights are all or nothing in the rooms.

Excellent service from the staff, particularly Hayley on reception who is always lovely. Breakfast is very nice, hot and warm, always well stocked. Customer service is fantastic.

Cleanliness: the second day of my stay, after arriving from work, I found an used tissue in the bathroom close to the water tab. It was not mine because I don't use tissues. So it should have been left by someone else. Staff: I booked the room with breakfast included. In the invoice it showed room&breakfast and I asked to the staff to remove the word "breakfast" form the invoice in order to be reinboursed without problems form my organization. They told me it was not possible showing a total lack of flexibility. I understand that if the client (who pays) asks for such a simple thing, maybe the hotel could do more to satisfy a simple request.
