Didn’t realise that there would be no staff on duty on a Sunday evening and was a bit worried about not being able to get in. Also wasn’t told that I had to go to another hotel for breakfast.

All in all, it's a good place to stay in a great location, I would recommend Duke's as a great place to stay in Sidmouth. My only minor criticism would be that some occasional seating near the bar for an evening drink before your meal would be good. I wanted a beer before sitting down for dinner but there was no available seating.

Great location, i managed to get a parking space next to the hotel. Friendly reception and the rooms were ready upon arrival. Rooms were well appointed and clean. Evening meal was good and the service was friendly. Breakfast was very nice in the Elizabeth hotel next door. Service was great and the food was excellent

There is absolutely nothing I didn't like at the Dukes Inn: everything was perfect for me!

I had such an amazing time at the Dukes Inn: it was really easy to find, and checking in was efficient and the member of staff was very welcoming. My room was ready before the time they had advised and I was allowed to go in already. The location is brilliant! My room was small, but extremely clean and comfortable. It was also so so quiet and I really appreciated the calm. Breakfast was plentiful and very nice every day. I had the roast on a Sunday (you need to book) and again, it was very nice. All the members of staff were incredibly nice: very attentive to every customers' needs. They were all very helpful and went out of their way to make my stay, and other customers' stay the best they could. I genuinely had an excellent stay at the Dukes Inn and went I went home, I told my other half we'll have to go back together. I really appreciated their customer service skills and their kindness. Thank you again so much to all for making my stay so incredibly pleasant!

Dukes was shut overnight on Sun and Mon..That was a bit odd. There was no reception or lounge to sit in. Be good to have hand towel rail in the bathroom.

Small but very comfortable and clean room. Great view. Kettle. Helpful staff. Breakfast in the Elizabeth next door was wonderful! Great parking and location on seafront.

There were no USB sockets in the room.

The drinks facilities in the room, the free products in the shower. Very warm. I was lent a USB plug. Breakfast was delicious, the cooked food was lovely !

Would be nice if the room had a mini fridge. Would also be good if the TV was a bit bigger. I am short sighted and the TV was impossible for me to see.

This is a nice hotel and the sea view room was great. The breakfast was pretty good but not great. Excellent location for exploring Sidmouth.

Had such an excellent stay at Dukes. From the very warm welcome I received when I arrived, to the lovely room with all that I could need and the delicious veggie breakfast the next morning, it was all was spot on. We had dinner in the bar which was great - highly recommend the haloumi salad - but it was really the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff that made it :)

The rooms were far too hot. Having trouble with asthma, the room was so hot I struggled to breathe. Maybe set the rooms to an ambient temperature rather than the heating full on.

Local, good amenities, good facilities for an overnight stay. Great breakfast. Clean. Friendly staff.
