Restaurant. Booked an early table as we were going to a concert in the bandstand. T here were only 8 people in the restaurant, but it still took 45 minutes to serve our meal. When mine came, the potatoes and vegetables were burnt. Didn't have enough time to have dessert. The restaurant manager, however, dealt with the issue quickly and efficiently.

Upgraded to a king size, balcony room with a seaview. Spotless, well equipped, helpful staff.

Everything was OK for me and my wife. Liked everything. No complaints

Breakfast good (but not excellent0; Room quite adequate. View superb. Stayed in a similar room in 2023 and will be coming back this time next year when I would be more than happy to have the same room again - room 521

One of the best hotels in Eastbourne. Very clean and well lit and has excellent amenities.

The whirring of the fans within the bathroom was a little distracting and the curtains did not block all of the daylight as dawn arrived. The lighting was controlled via a series of linked switches, none of which seemed to work in a way one would expect. The seat to the desk was too low and there are no USB sockets in the room. Finally the plug socket was on the side of the bed where there was no table, forcing me to place my Apple Watch away from the bed, which is an issue as that is also used as a bedside clock when I travel.

The room was extremely clean and well laid out. The bathroom was similarly well designed and was easy to use without fear of slipping or hitting something. The hot water was almost immediate and the shower was easy to use. I also liked the towel drying line that ran across the bath tub. The bed was comfortable and at just the right elevation.

It is a lottery regarding whether you get a decent quality matress. The furnishings carpets curtains and balconies need updating and bringing up to the same standard as the very impressive architecture of the hotel.

All members of staff were very polite always professional and very helpful. The hotel is an excellent see front location close to restaurants pubs and a short walk to Eastbourne pier. The breakfast was to a good quality standard.

    Absolutely nothing.

We were given a warm welcome on arrival. Our room was spacious, immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included and was superb in very way! We decided to stay an extra night as it was so good. We had lunch in the bar area which has windows and a balcony overlooking the seafront. Delicious food in such a lovely modern setting.

No complimentary water in room. Had to go and buy a large bottle of water from a local shop for my husband to take his pills, as didn't want to drink water from tap in bathroom or use to make tea. Some areas of the hotel were a little cold, particularly the bar area where we had an evening meal.

Loved the view of the sea. Room was a good size, shower water lovely and hot. Towels were of good quality. Breakfast was excellent.

Third stay at The View. Hotel is well situated. Very good breakfast and a main meal. Staff are pleasant and friendly. Room was basic but had everything I needed for two nights.

From the moment I entered the hotel, the member of staff on reception ensured I receive a friendly and efficient welcome. I use this hotel frequently, and the staff and facilities are superb. The room has an excellent sea view. Yes, breakfast was also high quality, presented in a modern environment, with excellent staff interaction.

Great spot, I had an uber take me straight to the entry point of the cliffs of seven sisters and hiked/walked back to The View and it was a good few hours venture, absolutely beautiful. Uber was 7 minutes from here to Birling Gap car park and cliffs straight ahead. Front Desk so welcoming. Great restaurants like Soup n Tap and Little Italy, delicious. Pier within walking distance. Room was great, clean, big, bed was a dream to sleep on. Highly recommend!
