Exceeded our expectations and was a lovely little break in a pretty and quiet village.

Stair carpet was a bit old...perhaps needs replacing.

Lovely welcome from the locals, their dogs and staff. Breakfast was very good. The village was very quiet and pretty for a stroll on Sunday morning.

Looking old and tired. Good food but felt overpriced. Breakfast has gone downhill (good but lacked finesse). Wi-Fi didn’t work in the rooms. Fire alarm light too bright for room. Blind not sufficient for keeping light out at night.

Stayed before over many years - close proximity to family, quiet, fairly comfortable, decent standard of food. Nice shower.

Extraction fan in en-suite was as noisy as a tractor. Highlighted this issue and was assured it would be addressed

Lovely Inn with lovely staff, very good vegan breakfast.

Nothing much, some areas above stairs were a little tired and in need of refreshing, the stair carpet was threadbare in places and the bathroom radiator could do with replacing.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was amazing. The chef was happy to explain the dishes and very passionate about his skill. The facebook page would benefit from showing other food choices than burgers even if this is their signature dish, the Beef Wellington and flaming brulee were fabulous and so tasty.

Elements of the room were tired and requiring an upgrade, but the manager is aware of this and working hard to make improvements. WiFi is a bit dodgy in the bedrooms - because of the old stone walls, I guess!

Lovely, rural location but not far from city of Cardiff. Quaint ‘pub with rooms’, lovely atmosphere. Quirky and authentic with historic charm. Clean public areas and great restaurant with super food. Lovely staff. Clean room, controllable heating, tea & coffee in room, plenty of hot water. Good parking availability close to property. Felt very homely and welcoming. It has its quirks and charm - if you’re after a faultless 5 star hotel, stay in Cardiff…but if you want charm, homeliness, great food and lovely staff, out in the countryside, this is your place!

It would have been good to know beforehand that they stopped serving meals at 4pm on Sundays. We were.told. rather abruptly that it says so on the website and anyway they were fully booked. Not the warmest welcome after.a 3 hour drive! The place needs a bit of a refurb, carpets etc but all ok for an overnighter.

Bed was comfortable, shower powerful andnquiet rural location. The food looked good... obviously a very popular dining pub. Breakfast was nice.

There wasn't anything we didn't like but the place is obviously in the process of being refurbished as some of the decor was looking a bit tired and the stair carpet was badly worn and threadbare in a couple of places. I think our mattress in our bedroom had seen better days but not too bad.

The staff were helpful and kind and attended to a couple of minor maintenance issues on request. It was conveniently sited for where we wanted to be.

Some things in the bedroom may need a bit of freshening up ie the headboard was a bit dodgy and the curtain pelmet needed a clean and maybe a couple of other little things but do not let this put you off booking here as we would still highly recommend and will hopefully return ourselves sometime…

Shower was small and had a high and low ceiling. Windows didn't close properly, although it was warm, so it didn't bother us too much. No room for our luggage. No evening meals, we had to go to another town to eat dinner! 😞

Continental Breakfast was great! They provided a face washer which many accommodations don't do 👍🏻👍🏻

The loose fittings in the room need a bit of attention. Socket on wall by dresser, blind a bit stiff, bathroom sink tap wobbly. This did not spoil our stay

Friendly and nviting staff and atmosphere x arrived early and was allowed to book in. Lovely calm location, comfortable room with all necessities needed. Evening meal was very nice. Breakfast was lovely. Well worth the visit.
