Parking availability as I have poor mobility. Valet parking would be great. Only 1 lift working in hotel at the time of our stay. The room we were given was comfortable other than insufficient suitcase room especially when travelling with a few suitcases.

Expensive for what it was, no doubt due to high demand during the 'Fringe'. Prefer a proper shower rather than one in the bath with the water getting onto the bathroom floor.

- The bathroom sink is insanely small - In-room dining (food taste wise) - AC couldn’t he controlled from within room - The noise from the neighborhood (alley from the back) ,, we continuously heard dumping of glass bottles at morning early hours which disrupted our sleep multiple times.

The corridor to the fourth wing and the room are a bit dated. All paintings and decorations on the wall in the corridor were removed and it feels like the place is going to undergo some renovation.

Some shortcomings due to the historical building. Some renovation may be needed. Lobby could be designed differently and a bar could be added. Gym tools could be improved.

This is a proper 5 star hotel with great staff. They are all willing to make the stay better. Thanks for the whole team. I would certainly choose the same place when I visit Edinburgh again. Nice breakfast, nice service. Excellent location. Great cleanliness. Sufficient gym.

there is no swimming pool , gym and spa at the hotel but they said we can use the swimming pool or the gym at the other near hotel it was 10 minutes walking . the air conditioner noise when we open it we can can hear a noisy sound.

at first they gave us a terrible room hard to reach to it from the lobby and it was small with no view after we complained they said they will give us better room but they were so delayed and we spent 2 nights waiting but finally they gave us an up grade room it was much better location , views and bigger with no extra charges . the staff were nice and helpful all the time the hotel was clean and with classical style and paintings , i heard it was a castle before so it will give you the feeling of living in a castle in Edinburgh not like the usual hotels . it was great feeling

NIce rooms, outstanding staff, especially the concierge who was very patience and effective. It has a really good location, close to everywhere but also a little off from the noisy parts. Good restaurant in the hotel as well as many nice places to eat or drink nearby/

Room view was poor, very limited room amenities. Called for a toothbrush and then had a call back to see if I had received it to which I had not. I had to ring back in the morning to ask again. Breakfast room and set up needs addressing, broken lights, spare table clothes out on display, tables look old and shabby.
