Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomKids breakfast same cost as adult breakfast when they obviously eat much less - so a light breakfast for 1 adult and 2 pre teens cost me £37! Minimal healthy food options for kids. Farm shop didn’t sell fresh fruit or veg.
Clean Welcoming Great staff

United KingdomAt the start of our break the wifi was fantastic, 120mbps+, there was then a torrential downpour for 12 hours and the internet connection dropped down to sub 3mbps in our area of the resort, I suspect that one of the meshed access points had failed in the rain, we report this over the whatsapp support chat but nothing was done. This was a little irritating as the weather was shocking for our whole stay and internet to entertain an 11yr old is pretty essential! The activities for kids are unnecessarily over-priced, £10 / child for den building for one hour using nothing but natural forestry resources. This was annoying and many other activities were over-priced IMO. The on-site farm shop was also unnecessarily over-priced, by way of example £2.50 for a tin of heinz baked beans. While the games room in the hub was absolutely superb, if you dare to be thirsty while you are using it and buy a cup of coffee you should be prepared for a £3+ price tag on a latte. Like me you would probably think this is a fair price until you receive less than half a cup in an already small paper takeaway cup.
We stayed in one of the new 2 bedroom lodges, it was superb, well appointed with everything you could possibly require for cooking at home, the kitchen was amazing. TBH the whole of the lodge was nothing short of stunning, the jacuzzi was fabulous. We had an issue that the decking doors would not lock which we reported over the whatsapp support chat (manned 24 hours!!) and within 2 hours we had someone at the lodge to replace the lock, incredible service. I challenge you to find a better welcome pack anywhere on the planet.... sausages, bacon, cheese, eggs, mushrooms, potatoes, butter all locally farm sourced. And not just enough for one breakfast, as a family of three we easily got two hearty breakfasts out of it.

United KingdomTrying to find our way around when we arrived was really hard, and not helped because we were tired. Booking.com state it is the Highbullen Hotel at the Mole Resort, but the Highbullen Hotel doesn't exist anymore. You check in at The Hub and then get directed to your room which is not in a hotel! The TV was a bit flaky and buffered/stopped occasionally. The evening meal was a little pricey.
The room was very comfy and the inclusive breakfast really good. The grounds were gorgeous and the deer hide a bonus.

United KingdomBedroom was a bit small and lacked storage.
Breakfast was ample, leisurely, and met our gluten-free requirements. Dinner menu: innovative, tasty, good-size portions. En-suite bathroom was excellent and met my request for walk-in shower.

United KingdomGiven the care and consideration of all the touches the lodges the only thing that could have been improved was the bathroom products. In my opinion it fell short, despite having tiny bars of L’Occitane soap conditioner and shampoo. The indoor swimming pool and changing rooms - again by comparison to the rest - felt like a sports centre to me. Not at all premium. The bistro also felt quite lacklustre but that may have been to the time of day.
Wonderful lodges very clean Very thoughtful local food place in fridge along with other touches Umbrella and torch available along with plenty of towels robes and slippers

United KingdomWe were here on mini-moon and honestly had the best stay, can't really think of anything except we couldn't get an evening booking in the restaurant on the day.
Room (loft suite) in the manor house was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious and a great view. We enjoyed the pools and that there were other activities on site. This was a treat mini-moon trip for people more accustomed to air b and bs and this felt fancy and a real treat 'living it up' without being frilly or over the top or super posh or feeling out of place.
