Signage a tad confusing to reception as you think it's for the Teachers Union only. Wet room in disabled room large & well equipped but shower water runs all over floor towards wc, sink even to the door, it needs better drainage, family member had to mop up wet floor with towels to use the wc without getting wet feet.Reported. Could do with swivel bedside lights for reading in bed.

Peaceful setting, car parking, friendly staff and breakfast offered a varied choice. Good location for exploring the area.

The room I had had an accessibility shower (which was huge), but the water flow from the shower was so strong that it filled the whole bathroom and nearly spread into the the bedroom. I only saw this after I had finished showering. I had to use all of the towels to stem the flow. I informed the staff who made a note and hopefully the maintenance team will sort this out.

I love staying here as it is a straightforward, no frills kind of place, but it is always clean, quiet and the staff are ever-so-nice. I haven't eaten dinner here before and usually find something in the area, but ordered the jerk chicken burger and it was amazing. Fries were great and the coleslaw (I don't really like coleslaw) was so tasty. Breakfast is a straightforward buffet, but the bacon, sausage, eggs etc are very, very tasty. Definitely recommend it as it is great value for money.

Staff watched me struggle up stairs with case, half way up commented you sure you ok? Clearly did not want to help. Food good, bar cheap lol. No info in room, was not told I had to put card in slot behind tv to have heating when I asked.

One slight issue was the drainage in the wet room - however careful we were, the water didn’t all drain towards the drain hole.

Have known it for years as we used to live in Rubery. Particularly enjoy the setting (especially the rabbits!) We stayed in a twin bedded accessible room which was lovely and spacious.

Unfortunately, the walls must have been ill insulated & a neighbour's snoring kept me awake. The window had no means of staying open for ventilation. Having a shower was interesting & a bit dangerous as the light was on a timed movement sensor & couldn't be re-activated from within the shower area. It was reported. The restaurant & bistro areas were rather canteen like with basic functional chairs & tables. Could have had a better atmosphere with different furniture.

The staff were very pleasant & helpful. My room, although snug, was adequate & bed comfortable. The heater was very adjustable. Breakfast was plentiful & it was good to have a choice of restaurant or Bistro, for the pocket & the food was very good.

The bar lacks ambience when it's quiet, however that's not a vital part of our stay so doesn't bother us.

We are regular visitors to Hillscourt as it is convenient when visiting family. Staff are always friendly, rooms are spotless, comfortable beds and a great breakfast.

A room on the ground floor as both my husband and I have difficulty climbing stairs. Mirrors needed to get ready. Could do with a little music in the background when having breakfast to create an ambience.

It's an old building and a bit of a maze but the rooms are fine . Probably a bit awkward with heavy suitcases but was mot s problem for us.
