Place lacked atmosphere and hospitality staff were just not forthcoming but same time by no means rude, or unpleasant, cant really put my finger on it.

The pool was out of action but this was not the hotel's fault. Allegedly a customer had taken a glass into the pool area and glass had got into the water.

Swimming pool was out of use and the gym was outdated. As I'd booked a solo night to relax this was disappointing.

Quiet hotel meant a good night's sleep. Comfortable and clean room.

Initial room wasn't usable because of bathroom problem. Hot breakfast only average with some items not hot, bacon tough and egg hard.

Hotel rate very good. Room good but this was second room after first room had to be vacated because of bathroom problem.

We had to book to use the swimming pool which we were unaware of until we went to use the pool. Unfortunately the tv in our room wouldn’t work, we told staff on the Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon Saturday night but it still didn’t work and we had no feedback. It didn’t spoil our stay but it could have for others.

Location was excellent for what we wanted. Staff really friendly and helpful, everywhere was clean and bright. We had breakfast which was good. Room was all we needed, clean. We were able to get extra real milk and teabags and chocolate bars at 2:30 in morning, we couldn’t sleep.

There were white paint splashes on the shower glass and floor. I felt an effort to remove these should have been done.

Bathroom filthy, from the bath I could see under toilet rim which was black with filth and mould. Around seals taps and drains it obviously hadn't been cleaned properly on a regular basis. Room did not smell fresh

Bathroom had mould round the bath. Think you should set a dress code for breakfast as full families in pyjamas and walking round bare foot out me off my food.

Gym and pool was dirty. Pool water was cloudy, floors filthy, changing rooms cold and dirty. Fold out bed was uncomfortable. Carpets need a wash. Lift would be helpful.

Check in could have been smoother as I had spoken twice to someone about having rooms next door, still got mixed up, room was not ready on arrival and dirty, cleaner tried to put us in one room when we had paid for 2.

Breakfast was lovely, the hotel was family friendly, we loved the pool and gym and relaxed dining room, evening meal was also lovely, staff friendly and approachable.

It is a long walk to some of the rooms, when our key card stopped working we had a long trek back and forth. While it was great to have the pool, it is very tired and didn’t look very clean at all. In the shower section there were dirty hand prints on the wall and the floor around the pool was filthy.

The room was adequately sized for two adults and a toddler. I was a bit worried at first because it was very cold but the air con system warmed the room up quickly. It was a nice touch to have the pool and sauna and steam room just as something else to do. Breakfast was great, hot and with lots of choice. It was constantly being replenished by staff and the manager was so helpful and friendly.

Buffet breakfasts are never any good and the food is generally cold. Would have preferred breakfast cooked to order.

The swimming pool and gym were an added bonus and the price was good value for money.
