Breakfast was disappointing. Toast was barely cooked and had to be returned. Staff under pressure. We’re sat by the window you had an infestation of ants which we pointed out and were moved. The scrambled eggs were below par and we could see any means of ordering poached eggs? No staff had even the bandwidth to ask anything beyond toast, coffee and tea. We agreed to pay for breakfast but when we return in June we will do without it. In the room you should provide two breakfast teabags for tea when you arrive and for in the morning. We would have needed 4 but only had two.

I was there celebrating with 60 others from out of town. The hotel and staff went out of their way to make it as enjoyable as possible while we spent our 4 days together. Outstanding.

Very limited exercise facilities and no pool.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas, lovely location and fabulous grounds which would be better out of December. Breakfast and dinner were very good.

The mattress could have been better, but that's a minor point as nothing is as comfortable as your own bed.

The staff! A wedding was taking place that weekend, and as we were not part of the wedding the reception staff kindly moved us to a quieter room away from the party. Restaurant staff very friendly too.

For £300 a night, it needs a little more attention to detail as the windows were black and dirty around the frames and the bathroom doorway was chipped and broken - but only details and didn’t take away from the venue overall

Looked beautiful with the Christmas lights and decorations, lovely restaurant and bar - our family room was delightful and spacious, it was also far away enough from the wedding reception that we didn’t hear a thing and had a good sleep

There was nothing that we didn't like.

The hotel stands in lovely grounds, which are worth a walk around. We loved that it had been decorated for Halloween, both in the hotel reception and in the grounds. The hotel itself is very nice and all of the staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. It was a buffet, set up in a separate little room and had a very good choice of hot and cold food. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and the food was very nice, but didn't blow us away.

Unfortunately, food and drink are overpriced, very disappointed with the evening meal selection of food and quality for the price we paid. Paid top price fir average food.

The heating was on the whole time even tho the radiators were off so it was quite hot but apart from that was lovely

Food and drink were quite expensive. Breakfast didn't have quite the variety I'd expect for a 4 star hotel. Also, on our last morning, plates and bread were not replenished without having to ask. They seemed a bit short-staffed.

Hotel, food and staff all lovely. We'd upgaded our room and it was comfortable, nicely decorated and spacious.
