Fantastic class I and II building with heaps of history very near the cathedral. The rooms are wonderful well appointed, a little quirky given their age, but well maintained.

Asked to book a time slot for Breakfast… Appeared as if every guest booked the same half hour slot! If left to our own choise we would have gone for a walk and come back when it was less busy…

Cooked to order breakfast was average - poached eggs were poor and tough streaky bacon was not to our liking.

Beautiful room, superb bed, wonderful bathroom, luxurious bath and separate shower. Great welcoming staff. Decent buffet breakfast with excellent choices.

The absolute perfect spot for visiting the iconic cathedral, literally across road to Ann’s entry gate! Breakfast was wonderful but another wonderful surprise was the evening meal 10/10

Perfect central location for Cathedral and Stonehenge Bus Tour
    • Leisure trip

Found the bed very uncomfortable and the room was excessively hot, which meant I didn't sleep very well. Even though it was a relatively cold March night, we had the window wide open throughout and we were still roasting! However, at least that means the heating system works well.

Great to stay in such an old building, with the expected creaky floors, wonky stairs and windows, and doorways for people who are 5 feet tall! Unfortunately, we didn't encounter any ghosts. Great location in the centre of the city, easy walk to the cathedral, and the Stonehenge tour bus stop is around the corner. Staff were very helpful and informative. Room was very clean and the bathroom was superb!

No parking. We found the Brown St car park before we checked in, so missed out on the £8 permit as we'd already paid £5 for the remainder of that day and had to get up and pay £5 more the next morning.

Dinner was delicious, with lovely South African food and wine influences. And the staff were delightful.

Really attractive, quirky building in the centre of Salisbury. Lovely spacious bedroom with a very comfortable bed, great shower and bath. Very good breakfast with a reasonable selection of fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc. plus a cooked option if required. Helpful, friendly staff.

The room was excellent, comfy bed and super decor. Attention to detail on the decor is in keeping with the age of the property although the facilities were very modern. The food was also extremely well presented and very tasty having dined there the previous evening. Breakfast was superb. Would definitely choose again if going to Salisbury.

Would have liked to choose my breakfast rather than tick ‘full English’ as was too big and therefore waste. Buffet table was quite low on stock by the time we arrived.

Lovely old property with original features and interesting nooks and crannies. Right over the road from St Ann’s gate and the cathedral close. Nice room with comfy bed and excellent shower. Pleasant staff. Parking nearby and discount voucher provided.

It is hard to find something in my mind that I did not like reviewing this facility. Sorry.

Our room was very spacious, confortable, and cozy. The hotel itself is a piece of history for the touristic community of Salisbury. It's restaurant offered delicious dishes of great value and flavor.

The stairs to access our room were a fire escape and would not be accessible for everyone. In the wrong shoes they may have been dangerous as well especially when it is wet. Also tricky coming in through tiny access door after 11 at night. The radiator by our bed did not turn off properly so it was warm throughout the night and making a gurgling noise.

Great bed and bathroom. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
